The Lord is the Spirit. The church of Christ is Christ present through the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the Holy Spirit calls us to Himself, then develops us and sends us out into the world to do His work. We of course, are given a work to do through His strength and direction. That is the task of building the church by making disciples.
She was not only my teacher but took me in as a foster child for three years when my mother was having a difficult time in life. I have always been grateful for being in a foster home, for this special lady not only taught me how to love myself and others but she taught me how to love God and trust him. When I became a nurse I always knew that I needed to share this knowledge base that my foster mom taught me with others. I needed to teach others to love themselves and to trust in the Lord as I used my hands to provide them with great nursing care. Luke 6:40 “A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” This scripture is a leading force in my goal to become a teacher of nursing students.
Gerda’s belief in faith in humanity is that people need to lead richer lives by helping those who have nothing. Even when Gerda was in a time where she needed a little faith in humanity, she still continued to reach out to others. In her memoir Gerda says, “I did not know her name or where she came from. I only knew that she was going to meet her death” (Klein 106). This text is from when Gerda gives her bowl of soup so a girl who was about to meet death.

Memoir of my Grandmother Losing my Granny and how close I was to her and how disappointed I felt when she passed. She was my only living granny , who when I needed comfort and a warm blanket, especially at nights, I’d run to her arms. My grandmother’s love was unconditional; not only did she bless me with her love, but gave me the love of her daughter, who is my mother. She lived for love, love for her grand kids, her children, her all. She lived her life caring and loving her every desire.
She is a good and generous Christian who believes that helping others is simply her duty. Amber is nurse who takes in stray animals who is also a good and generous Christian who believes helping people is important. The second parallel between Omaha and Johannesburg is broken families. The main plot of Cry, the Beloved Country shows the efforts of Stephen to reunite his family by bringing back his sister Gertrude to Ixopo. Much like how Autumn shows the efforts for her sister to come home from college.
This novel refreshes the mind on the level of intensity these people were put through, morally, physically and emotionally. The majority of the slaves were hand in hand with their religion. Isabella’s mother always taught her children to pray no matter what and instilled in them the qualities of being good people “she taught them to kneel and say the Lord’s Prayer. She entreated them to refrain from lying and stealing and to strive to obey their masters”. (Truth p.12) Isabella being loyal to her mother would do so whenever she ran into trouble, this also shows the loyalty towards her religion.
