In the early 20th century, newspapers and magazines were the main sources for people to get the latest information. People who understood how to read was always reading papers and sharing stories. There were a number of newspaper, press and magazine companies that gave entertainment as well as local and worldwide stories. As things started to move a bit faster radio was bought in to people's lives, and they were able to listen to the radio for the news and top stories, while they worked or did their daily deeds. The radio was like television with no visuals, people listened to it for all sorts of things; music, stories, information about the war, and regular news. It wasn't until about the 1950’s when television became a major source and part of people lives. People were then able to watch motion pictures and actually see what was going on around them. Then came broadcast satellite, which at this time was mainly used by the military, because regular people did not have the equipment or technology for it. Soon it was available to the press and news corporations, because it allowed access to the world and they were able to transmit images of other places without always having to travel abroad to cover it and relay it back to the people. From there the internet was born, and people are now able to access information themselves. Whatever is on their minds they can find, I didn't mention telephones, but with the internet people are able to get access to worldly information from the palm of their hands by using their cellular phones.
