This resulted in a small, year-round pond on the site. Initially, large, mature trees surrounded the entire area, and later, city buildings would grow up around the park and shut out the view. Just north of the park was a landscape of natural beauty including hills, streams and valleys. Unfortunately, laborers who lived in the area rarely had the luxury of enjoying the view or the outdoors. It was for them that the park was primarily designed.

(Mieg &Töpfer, 2013)Urban sprawl has the benefit because of that low density area is more environmental friendly, the large amount vegetations filled in the low-dense area can absorb the carbon dioxide made by the activities of human beings, which causes less amounts of air and water has been polluted by the pollutants. It has been observed that the more green areas are preserved in low-dense areas and there are more open spaces for people to entertain. (Xu,2014) But at the meanwhile,in the reality, developing low-dense area need to replace farmland or open space. However, the approach of urban sprawl will causing the lost of open space and natural habitats because of land
Clover Plant Investigation Abstract The hypothesis for this investigation is that clovers are more abundant in areas with more sun coverage than areas without sun coverage or little sun coverage. This is tested by counting the amount of clover plants in 1m 2 quadrants and seeing the coverage they have in that quadrant, the results are compared; the quadrants in the sun are compared to the quadrants in the shade. The sunlight did affect the number of clovers and the coverage in a 1m2 quadrants, quadrants in shaded areas showed significantly less clovers and coverage. Introduction The background theory is that certain plants rely on the sun more than others and will not grow as much in areas where there is little amounts of sunlight. The hypothesis is that the clover plants will not grow as much in the shade as they will in the sun.
Foxes, Mice, and other animals call this place home. It is unknown what this land was used for, besides just being a forest, in the past. Our first test was done in an upland, or elevated, location in that forest. Our next test was done in a lowland location. Both tests were conducted on a sunny, mild day, with little wind.
Since the graph slopes downward, needle length gets shorter as the nearest tree gets farther away. Therefore, there is evidence that the closer the nearest tree is the more likely it is to cooperate with the nearest tree which results in longer needle
As with the south, still being heavily agriculture-based with far less factories and industrial districts then the north. What were the other contrasts between the two regions way-back-when, anyhow? First, let us cover the economic factors of the two. The north, as stated before, focused on industrial work and products with textiles and technology rather then growing and harvesting. The north had many clothing, ship materials, etc.
Most savanna grass is coarse and grows in tufts with intervening patches of bare ground. Scattered, individual trees or small groves of trees are common. Trees do not dominate the biome because the small amount of high sun rainfall is not enough to sustain such
African Deforestation Deforestation is a very serious in Africa. It causes less rainfall, which can contribute to droughts, famine, and serious economic troubles. The severe deforestation can be attributed to many different factors such as the clearing of land for agricultural purposes, logging and timber production, human settlement, and even forest fires. (“World Rainforest Movement”) These are all significant causes of deforestation. The outlook is bleak, but all hope is not lost due to different initiatives by various African governments to solve this devastating problem.
Art Summer Mountains Assignment In the painting Summer Mountains by Ch’u Ting there are many different forms seen by the human eye. Starting off by the use of value in this art piece it is darker in some areas. To me it looks like he is trying to show how the picture was during a later time in the day and how some of the darker areas were where the sun wasn’t shown, and where there was shade. I think he used lighter coloring to show more of the mountains off in the distance, and where there were less objects. I don’t think he used colors on purpose to show how calm and sort of peaceful the mountains were during the summer and how there was never really much going on in that area.
