Executive Summary This assignment is a hypothetical study in the report format addressing the issues of cross cultural management at organizational level. The report is being presented to the CEO of an organization from Pakistan which is about to undertake an international strategic alliance with a company from Japan and a company from USA. This report gives a brief study of the cultures of the three countries. It further explores the similarities and differences in the cultures of these countries on the basis of two academic models namely Geert Hafstede and Fon Trompeneaars. In light of the analysis of the three cultures, the comparison of management styles in these countries is highlighted with some recommendations by the author to improve the cultural intelligence in the organizations and making the alliance possible. 1. Cultural profile of Pakistan: Introduction: The culture of Pakistan is an amalgamation of different cultures from the surrounding region. Other than this, there are some impacts on the culture because of the British rule before the independence and in the present world there is a great influence of different cultures, especially western cultures due to globalisation and international media. Religion: Islam being the major religion in Pakistan, majority of the population is Muslim and the religious values are given much importance, therefore, influencing the culture. Christians, Hindus and Sikhs are in minority. Languages: There are four provincial languages, many regional languages and a major national language which is Urdu. The official language of Pakistan is still English, which is the impact of British rule on the sub-continent.
