ISO collects information on municipal fire-protection efforts in communities throughout the United States. In each of those communities, ISO analyzes the relevant data using a Fire Suppression Rating Schedule (FSRS). They then assign a Public Protection Classification from 1 to 10. Class 1 generally represents superior property fire protection, and Class 10 indicates that the area's fire-suppression program does not meet ISO’s minimum criteria. By classifying communities' ability to suppress fires, ISO helps the communities evaluate their public fire-protection services.

Emergency Disaster Plan Julieann Dooley American Sentinel University Emergency Disaster Plan The purpose of this paper is to assess the community for potential disasters that could result in mass casualties, including what disasters are predictable, and what if any measures can be taken to prevent or minimize injuries, death, or destruction. It will also discuss who is responsible for disaster management in the community, what plans are in place for warning people and for communicating which actions to take in the event of a disaster, and if the people are aware of these plans. It will also talk about what social and cultural factors need to be considered in disaster planning in the community, if there are vulnerable populations with special needs, and if an evacuation of the community is mandated what are the plans for the evacuation of these groups. Lastly it will discuss what emergency supplies the health care facility has available in the event of a disaster, what provisions have been made available for vulnerable patients in the event the power goes out, and how would patients be evacuated from the facility to safe shelters. Community Assessment Tulare County is a small rural area in central California, mostly comprised of farms and dairies.
Note: Not all fire departments are financially capable of providing specified training and equipment. In some suburban/rural areas, several departments may need to pool their resources to conduct specialized training and/or increase their level of service. (Fire Rescue ) The next step will involve determing the required skills . “Once the level of service has been determined, then the training officer and fire department leadership must determine the skills required by individual firefighters to be competent in delivering those services. Note: Some skill levels will be determined by company performance, so it’s important to include in the assessment a system to evaluate the individual as part of a team.” (fire

Difference Between Origin and Fire Cause Determination. Today in this paper I am going to write about the major differences between the origin of a fire or explosion, and the cause and determination of a fire. I will first separate the two subjects, then give a few examples of clear differences between them, give a partial scenario, and a conclusion to hopefully give a clear meaning to both terms. Now without further due, I would like to present my thoughts and findings about determining the fire’s origin. Many times, Fire investigators will refer to a fire’s origin when discussing recent fire activity.
