It’s a scene of what awaits them after death, and according to the decisions in their life, Christians will go to either heaven or hell. In Christian faith, those who lived according to god’s law were going to be saved. And those who sinned without reconciliation were damned. This also acts as a moralizing purpose because it made people live simpler lives. Salvation is a completely free gift from the Lord and comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
With every opportunity of listening I will be mindful of creating a safe environment where clarity, understanding, and listening can take place effectively. More, important I should keep in mind how God listen to us. He listen to other with a love, compassion and caring heart. I want to do more listening and slow to speak. James 1:19 (KJV) says, “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” Taking the correct actions when listening will allow me to mend broken relationship due to lack of communication or listening skills.
Considering other in the first place, providing service with one’s own willing, waiting the assignment from God, and having unique characteristics are the key to success. Humbleness is a huge challenge for the leaders in practice, as long as the new leaders are willing to lead like Jesus and be humble like him. Furthermore, “Humility begins when you have a true picture of yourself” (p. 41). Humility comes from self-awareness and assist the new leaders located the true standard for their life. Additionally, humble your heart is mean to accept varieties of opinions, even the ones do not agree with, however, at least let others to present their ideas.
However some Christians may disagree because some believe that ‘a man reaps what he sows’; and so they should get what they gave out and suffer the dire consequences 5. Many Christians believe that ‘good conquers all evil’ and so if the young offenders are helped and give back to the community then they would believe that they should be helped. They also believe that you should ‘love thy neighbour’ no matter what their circumstance, they should treat them as they would like to be treated. On the other hand, some atheists may say that punishment provides deterrence and provides protection in society from those who are
(Jeremiah 29:11-For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.) The worldview on how I think about, treat, and speak to others on a daily basis is quite frank. I was raised to treat other with kindness and respect. As my parents raised me I find myself caring for others more than myself, especially if they are less fortunate than I am. In the bible there are many scriptures that teaches the reader about loving your brother and/or sister even if they refuse to treat you in a respectable manner as you do to
In most paragraphs he uses at least one allusion that the clergymen can compare his or their opinion to. For another example, “Just as the prophets did…’thus said the Lord’…just as Apostle Paul did…I am compelled to carry the gospel of freedom beyond my own home town” (204). Allusions are the best approach in this letter because he makes a lot of references to religious figures, which the clergymen can also show respect for and dare not go against what they have done or said. This also sets a tone of brotherhood between Martin Luther King and the clergymen because of them both being men of theology. But on the other hand using these figures to guilt
They are taught to give prime priority to spiritual health and physical and emotional health is secondary. They believe in life after death and trials and obstacles in our life are a way to secure Paradise. Injuries and illness are happening with the permission of God and Muslims are learned to accept and acknowledge it. Patience and gratitude are tested by God, and he provides us with ways to overcome the obstacles. God is merciful and whatever trials we come across in life are designed by God to ensure a place of everlasting pleasure.
Christianity exalting love, self esteem, self-image and so does Psychology. God is heedful of how we view ourselves and He want us to live, interact and hold our lives as people who know who they are; and so does Psychology instruct. Life is precious and we got to give ourselves the best we can because there are resources within us that are meant to give us positivity towards life. People attend religious services every Sunday or pray at particular parts of the day because it’s their way of getting closer to the supernatural. It makes them feel better because it gives them a sense of purpose and gives them a sense of unity with others that share the same beliefs. “Confidence theories also begin with a notion of man’s inward sense of weakness, and especially of his fears—of disease, of death, of ill fortune of all kinds—and they see religious practices as designed to quiet such fears, either by explaining them away, as in doctrines of the afterlife, or by claiming to link the individual to external sources of strength, as in prayer.” (Moro, 2010) Religion and rituals also are very functional aspects of
And this true relationship is one of the main advantages of being human – that we are “a little lower than God and crowned with glory and honor.” (Psalm 8:5) This is proven in John 14 because as Jesus, whose relationship with the Spirit is incomparable, talks of the Spirit, he uses the pronouns he and him – not it. The reason for us to develop our relationship with the Spirit is that he may be with us even more so than God or Jesus. I say this because we know that Jesus ascended into heaven to be with the Father, but the Spirit has been sent to us on earth by Jesus to be our comforter and our guide (John 14:16). He has three main jobs with the church: to teach us the truth, build the church, and help us spread God's love. The Spirit's job in regard to truth is to teach us unknown things about God, for just as no one knows are deep secrets of a person but that person's spirit, so can no one know God's secrets except his Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:11).
