In 1992, he graduated from the University of Southern California. Chbosky has written numerous screenplays, and has received a number of honors for his film,The Four Corners of Nowhere,as well as his screenplays. Chbosky is best known for his coming-of-age novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The book is met with both critical acclaim and criticism for supposed immorality.
He attended San Diego State University as well as Oregon College of Commercial Art. Later on in 1983, Carson was teaching high school Sociology in del mar California when he went to Switzerland, where he attended a three-week workshop in graphic design as part of his degree.
