Why did William win the Battle of Hastings? William, Duke of Normandy, won the Battle of Hastings on the 14th of October 1066. One of the main reasons he achieved this was because he was very well prepared. In this essay I will explain further how William won the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Preparation William assembled a great army of armoured knights, soldiers and archers.

482 – 565 Justinian the Great, was Byzantine Emperor from 527 to 565. During his reign, Justinian sought to revive the Empire's greatness and reconquer the lost western half of the Roman empire. Greek Fire- a weapon used by the Eastern Roman Byzantine Empire. The Byzantines usually used it in battles to great effect as it could continue burning while floating on water. It provided a technological advantage, and was responsible for many key Byzantine military victories, most notably the salvation of Constantinople from two Arab sieges, thus securing the Empire's survival.

The architect selected to build the new capitol was Frank Mills Andrews. Andrews was a very distinguished and award-winning architect using the Beaux- Arts Style and included many classical French interior designs in his design of Kentucky’s new capitol building. The new capitol building was to be built on the same site the previous two buildings, but concerns brought up by the legislature, and the size of the proposed building were too big for the old site so a new site was to be established. A comparative analysis of Thomas Paine’s “The Crisis No.1” and James Madison’s “The Federalist No.10.” Thomas Paine and James Madison mark two momentous periods of American history: the American Revolutionary War between 1775 and 1783 and the ratification process of the new US Constitution in the years of 1787-1789 (?). Both Paine and Madison were closely affiliated with the events of their times. Thomas Paine fought in the Continental Army against the British Monarchy and encouraged his fellow soldiers in "the times that try men's soul" with his reassuring/uplifting writings. James Madison was one of the authors and negotiators of the new constitution that was meant to strengthen the Confederation. For his efforts and effective advocacy he ... in favor of its ratification, he is called the Father of the Constitution.
Once the French got control of Fort Prince George, they renamed it Fort Duquesne. George Washington heard news of the fall of Fort Prince George. Washington and his troops set 2 up outside of Fort Duquesne. Once he received news of the French attacking, he launched first strike against the Camp and won the battle. This was the first engagement of the French in this war.
During the Onin wars, the castle was severely damaged. Toyotami Hideyoshi took hold of the castle in the year 1580, and a three floored building was built in that place by Kuroda Yoshitaka. In the year 1600, Sekigahara Battle occurred and the Himeji Castle was handed to Ikeda Terumasa by Tokugawa Leyasu, to restore the Himeji castle. It took nine long years to bring back the Himeji Castle to its original shape. Himeji was known to be the last construction during the Edo period.
