It should not be different if the patient is indigent and can not pay the bill because as a healthcare professional you should always treat every patient with the same respect disregarding there economic standpoint, race, or color. The way the economy has been the last couple years has had a big impact on why more patients are noncompliant. Patients will not buy or take medications if they can not afford it.
