Bharat Petroleum has caused an oil Spill and due to it, a lot of people suffered from the mental illnesses in Gulf. When media asked Bharat Petroleum as to why this had happened and what is their responsibility then they told that they will make all the things right which have gone wrong. But the most important question that arises is that will the company compensate the people who have suffered from various mental illnesses due to the Oil Spillage. Oil Spillage in the country caused the most risk oriented disorder PSTD which is known as the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The various other related problems are: Depression and the psychiatrist disorder. A Survey was being done and the following were the findings: • One third people suffered from mental illnesses. • Full lives of the 10 percent people were changed. • The people who were well off could pay for their cure of mental illnesses. • The people who lacked money could not afford to get cured. Although Bharat Petroleum paid for the compensation in order to treat the people who suffered from mental illnesses by an amount of $ 20 billion but it could not help in curing all the people. As found out, it was revealed that the oil spillage was the result of the management and leadership failure. Even their Operating management system did not prove to be of any worth in Gulf as it caused oil spillage. Even Bea is concerned of the risk management process, systems and techniques of BP (Griggs, 2011). A business is said to be become successful if the company follows the business ethics and certain moral principles. Here in this case, the major ethical issues are: o Oil Spillage caused due to failure of operating management system of BP and they have issued a sum of $ 20 billion which is lesser amount so ethics say that they should pay compensation for all the people who have suffered from mental
