Although some trading post and white settlers have arrived in this area, the law of the land was made by the Indians. He struggles during his first winter with an inadequate rifle and no knowledge of how to comfortably survive. An example, is when the chief of the Crow tribe, “Paints-His-Shirt-Red,” observes a starving Jeremiah chasing trout in a frigid river while he [the chief] has a stringer full on his horse. His luck turns when he has an unexpected encounter with “Bear Claw,” Chris Lapp, who mentors him on the ways of the land. Lapp takes him in and shows him the way of the land, and after gaining the skills required to survive in the mountains, he sets off on his own
The view that he saw was a beautiful landscape looking into the bay and over the mountains in to the ocean. I thought that the setting couldn’t get any better. It put a picture in my head of a place that I would like to go camping. The theme of the book dealt with a troubled boy, abuse, it dealt with creating friendships and learning how to trust. These themes are real, but on the cover of the story it talks about a mythical bear.
Classic Essay This book shows the hardship of adaption to the Canadian wilderness. How a dog gets from point A to point B, and how he deals with authority and dominance. The book I'm reading is Call of the Wild by Jack London, and is a classic-fiction book. Buck deals with the hard of adaption to the Canadian wilderness, struggles to prove himself; and him becoming the alpha male. Buck has never had to endure the vicious North.
Once the trend got publicly known, it became a huge deal in the media. At this point people think that the pit bull is a mean, aggressive, man-eating breed. Cops, landlords, and the general public began banning this breed because of humans training them to attack. When I was 5 years old, I witnessed my sister being attacked by my grandmothers Scottish terrier. This is a small, nonaggressive dog.
