In 1782, before he was even twelve years old Beethoven published his first musical composition. It was a set of piano variations on a theme that was by classical composer Dressler. In the year of 1784, Beethoven’s father’s alcoholism got worse which led to his father not being able to support for his family anymore. This led to Beethoven getting a job as an assistant court organist. He was still very young, but was given the job.
Hector Berlioz Hector Berlioz (1803-1869) was born in La Cote Saint-Andre, a small town in France. His father, Louis Berlioz, a well-to-do physician expected him to follow in his footsteps. At eighteen, Berlioz was sent to attend medical school in Paris. Five years later, he gave up medicine and ended up studying music at the Paris Conservatoire. Having been cut off by his parents, Berlioz gave lessons and sang in a theater chorus.
However, the one who builds Stephen’s musical love and career is Father. In one of Aunt Emily’s letters to Mother, Aunt Emily says “…Mark… All he thinks about are Stephens’s music lessons. He sent two pages of exercises and a melody he thought up himself…Dad said Stephens’s health is more important than music right now” (113). Throughout the novel, several instruments have been used, by Stephen, to portray the theme of music; some examples are piano, flutes, and violin. Stephen works hard when it comes to music and it would not have happened without his mother or father’s support.
When Selena was just 6 years old her father was teaching her older brother to play the guitar and Selena started to sing, her father saw her talent and they then formed a band with the three Quintanilla children and they practiced almost every day, their lives growing up were spent around music and the band. 2. )Did Selena speak Spanish? Sy Oliver Sy Oliver,Melvin James Oliver, was born on December 17,1910 in Battle Creek Michigan. Sy’s mother taught piano and his father knew how to play every instrument and they taught a music class in Ohio. Sy’s father used to help the leading company of saxophones sell in the early 1900s in America. His father also was known locally for his choir, he would write their music and there Sy first saw that writing music was possible. Sy grew up all around music, he was only bound to be in the music industry.
He describes how brilliant of a student Nathaniel really was, “…Barnoff had never seen a student go months without practice, as Nathaniel sometimes did, then pick up an instrument and get such a great sound out of it” (19). Nathaniel attended Julliard, which is a prestigious art school in New York. Even with a mental illness Nathaniel was taught to play string bass but taught himself how to play the cello and violin. He can pick up, virtually, any instrument and start playing music like nothing. Steve Lopez received instruments from fans of Nathaniel’s story.
Stephen Heller was a Hungarian pianist, teacher and composer whose career spanned the period from Schumann to Bizet and was an influence for later romantic composers. Heller was born in Pest, which is now known as Budapest, Hungary) in 1813. He had been destined for a legal career, but instead decided to devote his life to music. At the age of nine he performed Jan Ladislav Dussek's Concerto for Two Pianos with his teacher, F. Brauer, at the Budapest Theater. He played so well that he was sent to study in Vienna, Austria, under Carl Czerny.
His parents’ names are Herb and Judy Chapman. Steven Curtis Chapman, along with his brother Herb Jr., grew up playing the guitar and singing. When he finished high school, Steven enrolled as a pre-med student at Georgetown College in Kentucky. Then he later transferred to Anderson College in Indiana. However, he dropped out and went to pursue a career in music in Nashville, where he went to Belmont University.

The Poet Behind the Poems David Chapman Berry was born July 23, 1942, in Vicksburg, but he mostly grew up in Greenville, Mississippi (Gale). His parents were David Berry and Annette Hays, who also had a daughter named Bettty Berry (Jacobs). Berry started writing poetry in ninth grade because of boredom in church (“D.C.B. Biography”). As a young man, Berry found a love for chorus and drama and continued performing until he graduated from Greenville High School in 1960 (Few).
