Baby Bottle Tooth Decay My essay is about baby bottle tooth decay also known as childhood carries. The reason why it is also known as childhood carries is because it does not only happen in just babies but also toddlers. Also if your baby’s teeth are still not in even brushing there gums can help and once the teeth come in that is when you start to brush their teeth. The reason why I choose this topic is because I have a daughter and I want what is best for her teeth and to share with the community what I learned. Also I do not want little kids having their teeth pulled out or even getting them fixed because they are too small for that. In my fallowing essay I will tell you how it is caused and how it can be prevented. Also what the dentist can do for a replacement or treatment. What is baby bottle tooth decay? It is like a cavity. It is a natural bacterium that lives in your mouth and forms plaque. The plaque interacts with deposits left on your teeth from sugary and starchy foods and produces acid. These acid damage teeth enamel over time by dissolving, or dematerializing enamel, which weakens the teeth and leads to tooth decay. It starts off as a little white spot and if you do not treat it right away or within 30 days it could get worst and it will turn into a cavity. It is also an oral disease. It is not life-threatening. It mainly affects the front teeth of your child but you never know it could affect the other teeth on the side and not just the front. What causes baby bottle tooth decay? Many things can cause this infection or teeth to rot. In the fallowing paragraphs I will tell you more about how it is caused. Also foods to avoid and how they are bad for you child or babies teeth.
