Milton, the worker who had been laid off five years ago, but no one had told him, was finally fed up with being walked all over and set the building on fire, something he had muttered about before. This movie is an extremely funny movie for the fact that many can relate to not liking their job, and the frustration of bad communication. In the work place communication is one of the biggest factors of how well you do not mind coming in to the office every day. A few of the themes of communication, and the errors that this office hold are interpersonal skills, leadership, verbal communication, and listening behaviors. Interpersonal skills The biggest part of a workplace, is working with others.
Steinbeck uses character relationships to create an impression of the characters so that the reader can begin to imagine what they are like. Curley’s wife is seen to be a lowly, devious woman by the majority in the farm that will do anything and hurt anyone to make herself feel better. As she is a woman, at the time she is seen as an inferior to the male workers. She is married to the bosses’ son, Curley, and their relationship is a poor one. We can see that Curley clearly treats her as a trophy wife as her name ‘Curley’s wife’ shows that she is practically his property and he owns her.
Elie also questions how there can be a God when the Nazis are so cruel. Finally, Elie struggles a lot with the cold, hunger, and sleep deprivation. The most obvious conflicts Elie encounters are with other characters. There are too many examples to name; Elie is targeted by the dentist, he fights with Franek, and he has many other serious encounters. One example that sticks out in the book is when Elie hears, “Men to the left!
Billy, who is in even worse shape than many of the others, falls into an hysterical fit during the play and has to be restrained and tranquilized. He is taken to the prison hospital, where he meets Paul Lazzaro, who had befriended Roland Weary on the prison train and promised Weary that he would one day kill Billy as an ac of revenge. The American prisoners are transferred to the German city of Dresden, an "open city" with no strategic value that is supposed to be safe from at tack. They are housed in an abandoned slaughter house-Slaughterhouse-Five. At one point they are visited by Howard W. Campbell, Jr., an American who has gone over to the Nazis.
He believed every lady loved him, which shows he is not shy when it comes to sharing his thoughts. However, not all the ladies love him, he just thinks too much of himself. Benedick also assumes that he is too good for anyone and there is no lady good for him, and therefore he cannot have any lady, and says he never will. It also demonstrates that Beatrice and Benedick have a fiery relationship based on the childish bickery. Shakespeare portrays a rude and independent character of Benedick.
He has to get an apartment and recover the file. He met Hector who gave him back(he noticed was a note missing) the file. Hector aslo told him about the fingerprints Michael had left in the office. -Surely, they will discover you. -Said Hector.
As if her excruciating discomfort was not enough, she was informed that her family had died in the explosion. Doctors argued over whether to amputate her leg, only adding to her stress and confusion. The hospital she was placed in was clearing out in order to make room for soldiers. Sasaki was about to be relocated until the doctor took her temperature and saw that it was too high above average. She was then shipped to the hospital in Hatsukaichi to see if she had gangrene in her leg.
Curley’s wife would always try to show more of herself, and of course the reaction of the men was to call her a “tramp” and a “rat trap”. This is also subtly changing the readers view. We can see that all the men on the Ranch feel the same way about her. Steinbeck almost puts you in the position of Lennie and George, so whenever she insults them, so also insults you, further exaggerating what you feel about Curley’s wife. For example, when she says “They left all the weak ones here” all the men ignore her to let her know that she isn’t wanted, and Crooks tells her to get out.
Actually, she often took up for the hurtful comments he said about her by brushing them off or joking. In addition, Sheila tuned out all of the red flags that had occurred in her relationship. For example, her husband’s relationship was closer to her [Sheila’s] best friend than her [Sheila]. On the Airplane scene, Mike and Sheila’s best friend decided to sit together, leaving Sheila by herself. This is abnormal because no woman in her right mind would ever stand for something like that.
No sign of Foxtrot. The firing had gone dead and and there was some minor destruction. I see some movement in a doorway of a building. I have my squad switch to game chat and we heard the most gut wrenching of screams. Moans and cries of my wounded comrades, calling out for medical assistants.
