A Near- to- Death Encounter 1. Have you ever encountered a mysterious incident which not only has it left you bewildered and confused but it has also changed your perspective regarding the reality of unknown things? Well, mysteries are considered as unsolved secrets which baffle the ordinary people as well as the highly witty scientists due to the complexity they impose on the human understanding of things. Bermuda triangle, Lochness Monster Nessie, Big Foot (Yeti), UFOs, ghosts, vampires are all mysteries which many people failed to come up with a sensible opinion or idea about whether they exist or not. Yet, while some people are skeptic about these incidents and consider them as nothing but mere old ladies’ tales, many others fear these mysterious occurrences and dread the idea of encountering such abnormalities. I am one of those people who believe in the power of science and trust only what my five senses receive without questioning, but all that changed after that life changing experience. 2. It all happened one summer when my family rented a house on the mountain. Everything seemed perfect especially the house which was huge, roomy and with spacious gardens. It overlooked majestic scenery, and one could enjoy the sight of the most amazing sunsets. Dad considered the place quite a catch since the rent was so cheap and we were equally pleased because we saw in the new place a chance to stay away from the noise of the city. It was really a heaven to us, or that’s what we thought at first. 3. My room was in the second floor and the only window in it overlooked a huge garden with a water fountain in the middle. The statue in the middle of the fountain was freakish but I cared less about it and considered its presence, though annoying, as part of the decoration. I was tired that night and went to bed early.
