Nature’s Wonders
Out of all the most amazing places in the world, one of the very best is the Grand Canyon. The breath-taking vastness of the canyon alone is enough to make it an amazing example of how beautiful nature can be. Although many people have seen pictures, it is absolutely nothing compared to how astounding the Grand Canyon actually is. In pictures you get a direct focused look on one point. In person the full force of the canyon hits you and you can’t stop looking. When you’re standing at the edge of it, looking down into the canyon’s vast depth, you realize that no matter how many pictures you’ve seen it never managed to catch quite how deep the canyon goes down. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice the pillars of rock all around in random places, almost like someone had stuck them into the ground wherever they pleased. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice the cool breeze that constantly pushes against you no matter how hot it is everywhere else. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice that the wall is carved away like it was carved out with a knife, the beautiful chaos that is the winding canyon. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice the way the whole thing literally lights up at every sunrise and every sunset. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice the way that color is thrown about the walls and every surface, the way that every shadow stands out yet every place light touches stands out too. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice the plants scattered in and around the entire canyon. Standing at the edge of the canyon, you notice all of these things all at once. None of it overwhelms you. None of it is too much to see at one time, because that is when you notice it. All at once.
