Elizabeth Navarro Composition 1 November 13, 2013 The “Natural” States California and Arkansas are two uniquely beautiful states that share more differences than similarities at first sight. I lived in Los Angeles, California until the age of ten and moved to Russellville, Arkansas. The scenery was a complete shock I had never experienced such a place such as Russellville. All my life I was accustomed to the life of a larger city, and now here I was in a little town in the middle of nowhere. Arkansas is known for being the “natural” state, but I believe California has much more than it’s beautiful scenery. The beauty of each state can be seen through the each states natural environment. For example, Arkansas boasts of many natural areas, “…scenic beauty and endless recreation make for some of the best…”, such as the Buffalo River, Petit Jean State Park, Mount Magazine , and countless other natural areas that attract tourists and natives. In California its natural beauty can be see through its countless beaches such as Camarillo beach, Venice beach, Laguna beach, and Redondo beach. The state also includes 18 national forests such as Yosemite and Sierra National Forests. Arkansas and California share many differences and a couple of similarities. Both states have beautiful natural sceneries that captivate the tourists and natives. Arkansas does have a beautiful scenery, but California by far has more appealing attributes. California boasts of many entertainment centers that don’t involve a far commute. The weather here is mellow and one never has to worry about clothing options. California all in all is a beautiful
