Scotlandville community is bounded to the west by the Illinois Central Railroad (now Canadian National) and the Kansas City Southern Railroad on the east, Central Road to the north and Harding Boulevard to the south. The larger Scotlandville community got its name from Scott Plantation and Scott’s Bluffs. It was these bluffs rising out of the Mississippi River that attracted the first Spanish settlers to what is now Baton Rouge. Southern University, which sits on these bluffs, was established in 1880 in New Orleans and moved to Baton Rouge in 1914. Although the town of Scotlandville was well established long before Southern University moved to the bluffs, you cannot describe one without including the other.

Early signs of SARS begin with a fever greater than 100.4F, chills and rigors, sore muscles and fatigue, headache. Some of the cases reported diarrhea. The virus then progresses to lungs.

TheWest Nile Virus is “maintained in nature by the bird-mosquito-bird cycle “(Tiawsirisup,S. Platt B. K.,Tucker,J.Brad, R.,A.Wayne, 2005, para.1). The world should be informed on the miths and truth of the WNV, such as the causes of the virus, its symptoms, and the factors that contribute to the spread of the West Nile Virus. West Nile Virus was first found from an adult woman in the West Nile District of Uganda in 1937.

Egypt is the Nile, and the Nile is Egypt. The river starts down south, fed by the runoff of the Ethiopian highlands, and heavy summer rains in the east African Lake District. These two headwaters are responsible for the formation of the White & Blue Nile Rivers, which join at Khartoum, Sudan. After that the Nile enters Egypt through the Nubian and Nasser lakes. The distance between these two lakes and the mouth of the Nile into the Mediterranean was of 938 miles.
