Ethics are Games We Play May 7, 2013 Ethics are games we play The paper will review the ethical issues that pertain to the simulation of “The Mysterious Roses and Cold Feet.” The decisions involved in this exercise will be from the author based on his ethical decisions. For both situations used in the ethical games “Mysterious Roses” and “Cold Feet” you had to identify who to investigate. Another issue was determining who the primary stakeholders are and how the decision process will affect the interested parties. There are no universally agreed rules of ethics, no absolute standards or controls, and no fixed, and firm reference points. This is fascinating given how hugely important ethics have now become in modern life and society (businessballs). The process of making decisions in the ethics games were based on the position of employment within the company. The position within the company can change based on an employee’s level. Ever employee has a duty to report issues, it is the position held that changes in what to do with the information. With the position held in these games the first process was protecting the shareholders and thinking of how this could affect those involved. The issues were dealing with by the employees in this exercise can affect the company and the individuals. A colleague found himself in a situation at work with a friendly female employee. The two have known one another for several years and would have occasionally had lunch together. After several years of this routine, the woman asked to male employee to stop talking to her. Both appeared to be in relationships, but the man involved had on occasion flirted with the woman and vise versa.
