Vacation Spot During the whole academic year there is one thing eagerly anticipated by millions of students. Vacation, the time when we can do whatever we want, when we have not got a care in the world, when, after passing exams with flying colours, we feel as if we are walking om air, should be thoroughly planned beforehand. Choosing of vacation spot is a very delicate topic for people pursuing the aim of "seizing the day" and enjoying life to the full. Last winter I chose Stockholm as a place of my destination and now I am absolutely sure that it was the best decision I have ever made in my life. Stockholm, known to most people as the capital and the largest city of Sweden, is located on 14 islands on the coast in the south-east of Sweden at the Mouth of lake Malaren by the Stockholm archipelago. Sweden's cultural, media, political and economic centre, Stockholm often feels like two cities. Its self-important status of Sweden's most forward-looking commercial centre can seem at odds with the almost pastoral feel of its open spaces and expanses of water. First impressions may be of a distant and unwelcoming place - provincial Swedes call it "the Ice Queen" - but sticking around for the weekend, when the population really lets its hair down, you'll see another side of Stockholm. When we drove into this city I felt rather sleepy after the night spent dancing and having fun on our ferry. Our guide turned on a national Swedish song - joyous and lively sounds made me open my eyes. As soon as I looked out of the window I could not get a wink of sleep. The beauty of this city is indescribable. The architecture, bewitching and magic, is like comprehensive whole and it seems that if you remove just one building the whole view will be irreversibly destroyed.
