A place I personally love and think is a great historical marking of Las Vegas would be the Bellagio’s water fountains. It’s located at 3600 S. Las Vegas Blvd., right outside of the Bellagio hotel-casino. The fountains are beautiful to watch and free to do. The show runs from 3 pm to 7 pm, which there are shows every half an hour. And between 7 pm to midnight they go off every fifteen minutes.
However, strategies can also be used to save substantial money while enjoying Las Vegas. You don’t have to be rich to enjoy what Las Vegas has to offer. Some of the best dining, shopping, shows, and nightlife in the world can be found here and it can be enjoyed on a limited budget. Behind Times Square, the Las Vegas Strip is the second most visited tourist destination in America (“Top 25 Most Visited Tourist Destinations in America”). Las Vegas can be thought of as a giant playground for grown-ups, which had over 39.2 million visitors last year (“Vegas FAQs”).
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case the painting “The Flavor of New Orleans” says a lot more than that. There is so much detail related to New Orleans but, there is plenty more in the artistic abstract of the painting. In the mural it brings alive the character and imagination of the New Orleans lifestyle. While the painting characterizes New Orleans it also is very realistic.
Woodstock! My name is Sunflower, and I was born at one of the most historical music gatherings in U.S. History, maybe you’ve heard of it, it was called Woodstock. I was one of two children born at the actual festival. I feel lucky that I got such a unique birthplace. True believers still call Woodstock the high point of an era devoted to a goal of peace and love.
New Orleans is a city teeming with subcultures, but perhaps none is more mysterious than the Mardi Gras Indians. The Mardi Gras Indians are African-Indian-Creole-Americans of New Orleans who don elaborate, magnificently beaded, hand-made costumes every year to commemorate the ancestral bond between Africans and Native Americans and their resistance to prevailing social systems that have continued to oppress them. Many members of the Mardi Gras Indian Gangs are working class residents with limited financial resources. Still, every year with significant effort and expenses a new costume is made by hand. The tradition is still strong today, continuing to instill a deep African-Indian ethnic pride in the black working class of New Orleans and serves
I am exclusive and run dance parties like a fucking marathon. My favorite holiday is Spring Break, Spring Break is to bros what black history month is to african slaves. Last Saturday (2/16/13) I attended the 10th annual Vagina Monologues at Cal Poly. This was my first time going to the show and I'm so glad that I went. I bought my ticket a few days before the show and I'm happy I did because it sold out quickly. The array of monologues ranged from hysterical to depressing. All of the monologues shared a common theme of addressing women's issues and celebrating them in all its glory.
Millions of brands are displayed in the world: on the city streets, public transport, television, shops, etc. However, only a small part of them have a real impact on the audience, the industry and the history. In 1885, Atlanta, a pharmacist named John S. Pemberton created a syrup that was meant to be a quick remedy for headaches. One hot summer day it was mixed with soda and one of the most successful brands was born. This essay will concentrate on one of the biggest, most well-known and influential brands in the world – Coca-Cola.
Lang had experience as a promoter and had already organized the largest festival on the East Coast at the time, the Miami Pop Festival, which had an estimate of about 100,000 people to attend the two day event. In April 1969, Creedence Clearwater Revival a band that had just become famous were the first act to sign a contract for the event, agreeing to pay $10 000.
