There are many players and decision makers who are introducing plans in trying to a secure a sustainable water future. In terms of water future, meaning how to sustain and use the water we have now correctly and making sure we have still have water for the future. These players, stakeholders or also known as decision makers focuses on the organisations, groups and individuals who have a role to play within an issue. For most players, the conservation and sustainable development of water resources is an increasingly important priority. There are 3 alternative futures, business as usual scenario which will be unattainable in the long term, water crisis, which is the most worrying of all which shows mismanagement of water resources or climate change, threatening the water and food supplies. This could potentially lead to a wider geographical problem such as conflicts. The last is sustainable water, which suggests stabilising consumption and human environmental impacts. One player is ‘WaterAid’ an international non governmental organisation, who are non-profit, voluntary citizens group. NGOs usually focus in developing countries, where many are in poverty have very little basic resources if any. They usually vary on small local projects e.g. clean water from the ground and ensuring it is safe to drink. According to WaterAid, their strategy is to promote and secure people’s rights and access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation. In Bangladesh, the wells were poisoned making the water contaminated and dangerous to drink. These NGOs help increase water security by providing solutions to find clean water available and help sustain a water future for the locals. However, these organisations are quite minimal and limited, they do not have all the resources to help many and therefore unfortunately cannot help everyone as much as they would want to. Another
