1.1 Explain the purpose and benefits of planning work and being accountable to others own work. The reason for planning and prioritising own work, is that you will have responsibility's to carryout. So it is important to plan and priorities work. Tasks and work should be prioritised in order to meet deadlines or in order of their importance. Planning will help to organise what tasks must be done and in what order of importance they should be done in. Ways in which to plan tasks and work are to have a diary in which you input all tasks and work that needs to be done or any important dates and meetings. Schedulers, planners and organisers are also a way to record and sort out tasks and work. A to do list is one of the most simple and effective ways to see what must be done and checked off. Prioritising work can be done many other ways too. Another way could be to number the work or tasks in order of importance. This can be done by finding out deadline and due dated to start with then you will have a based to start prioritising work. A benefit to planning and being accountable for you own work is that you have a visible and accessible plan that allows you and your line manager or team leader to see quickly the daily tasks that you complete and it allows them to check that you understand your work objectives it also help to agree on timescales and goals that will help with performance management 1.2 Explain the purpose and benefits of negotiating realistic targets for work and way of doing so.
