Following the correct guidlines, procedures and codes of practice relevant to my work helps me to do my job properly and provide a good and quality service to customers making sure that they and their personal data are protected. These procedures also allow me to complete all daily tasks in the correct manner making sure all relevant checks are completed to a high standard as mistakes could lead to incorrect data being used internally and sent externaly to clients Company guidelines are relevant to me on a daily basis making sure I know the correct way to use the telephone, sending an email and storing information. Also what I should wear and having the correct knowledge of health and safety procedures such as reporting accidents and possible hazards that could cause harm or complications to myself and my co-workers. 1.2 Explain the purpose of planning work, and being accountable to others for own work Planning work in advance helps to make sure all daily tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
Amongst the company's policies and procedures, you will find such guidelines, as 'equality and diversity'., and 'dealing with harassment and bullying at work' These policies exists to enable all employees to work cohesively. Please make sure that you familiarise yourself with all of the company policies that will assist you within your job role. It is not only important for the company to have full and up to date details of agreed ways of working, it is also a legal requirement. It is vital that this company can show up to date documents, in the forms of policies and procedures, so that employees can gain a better insight into how the company works with others to promote best practice. Little or no documentation relating to agreed ways of working, would breach national regulations, and the standards of this company.
Human service workers need to be prepared for all situations, and have feedback on how well their programs are working. Typically, the next step in the program planning process is to evaluate the program. It is necessary to have a program evaluation because it brings the results to light. In order to meet the well defined goals and objectives of program planning, it is essential for human service programs to have feedback on the effectiveness of the services they are providing so they can continue to satisfy their consumers. Program evaluation is needed so workers can remove anything from their program that was not needed, or add more attention to another direction of the program.

Another important Performance Management aim is to ensure that everyone in the organistion knows: • What are the business goals • How their role helps to achieve the businesses goals • What skills and competencies do they need for the role • How they are doing, what could they do better, how to improve When an employees are well informed and engaged in their work they are most likely to do the best what they can for the organisation. This way, everyone can effectively reach targets efficiently.
