This is based around each individual and their careplan so the care i give is individual to them.
I would ensure that the residents would be presentable in their appearance at all times. Additionally I would ensure that the service user have any aids that are required for examples, glasses, hearing aids, dentures and that these are kept cleaned and work. Another role that I would have within the care home would be to assist the service users in rehabilitation activities under guidance and supervision of the manager. I would also have the responsibility of assisting in the cleaning of the home when needed especially the dining areas after meals. I would also support infection control by cleaning up any spills immediately.
Unit 206 Understand the role of the social care worker Outcome 1 Understand working relationships in social care settings Working relationships are based on formal policies and procedures and agreed ways of working; these are bound by contracts of employment and have codes of practice to be followed – working relationships are professional based. My responsibility as a support worker is to deliver very high standard services to individuals. This includes supporting people with everyday living e.g. personal car, shopping, cooking. Personal relationships are based on emotions and are informal.
They are identified in a person but aren’t really the person’s number one choice. The preferred strategies are the strategies that help the person learn and cope to their needs. Identified strategies are there and also help but the person would prefer the other strategies over them. As discussed earlier, kinesthetic strategies embody actively engaging into the lesson. On the contrary, aural study strategies engage “attending classes, discussions, and tutorials, discussing topics with others and teachers, and using a tape recorder.” People who are good listeners and learn better by hearing have aural strategies.

[4222-206] The role of the health and social care worker (HSC 025) [Outcome 1] 1 explain how a working relationship is different from a personal relationship Working Relationships are based on formal policies and procedures and agreed ways of working, these are bound by contracts of employment and have codes of practice to be followed – Working relationships are professionally based. Treating individuals with dignity and respect is my first priority – having those values and taking them on-board, guides me to do everything right and prevent abuse from happening, as required by my job, my employer and the law. Personal relationships are based on emotions and are informal. In personal relationships you often share support between each other and feelings and thoughts as you can be who you are with family or friends. Personal relationships involve doing things together outside of work.
Principles of personal development in adult social care settings 1.1 The standards that influence the way adult social care job roles are carried out are indentified in my employer’s policies and procedures, my job description, safeguarding procedure and care standards. 1.2 Reflecting on my work activities is an important way to develop my knowledge and skills because it helps me to realise what I know and what I’m good at. This is done through supervisions and appraisals which I should always have to help me understand how well I am doing my job. 1.3 I would ensure my personal attitudes and beliefs do not obstruct the quality of my work by making sure when I come to work I leave my personal beliefs behind and do not bring them into the work place. I would do this by making sure I follow my job description and always ensuring that I have boundaries between personal and professional relationships.
