This should not be seen as the problem of the government but the problem of the entire populace of America who are the taxpayers. As can be seen, the healthcare reform by president Obama will only cause deep problems to the people of America than the benefits it is expected to bring them. it seems the Obama administration was not committed to the people of America as they had made them belief in the run for his elections and this has only come to the fore recently and exposed his true image
Do the citizens of these countries actually want Americans intervening, or should the focus of this country be redirected? It is true that those able to help should serve the needy, but there are lines that need to be drawn, when it comes to sending aid. America has fought to bring order to corrupt governments found across the globe, however, these changes are unlikely to survive in countries that despise America and its beliefs. In aiding
We tried to catch Aidid’s chief lieutenants and we failed to change our tactic and therefore we suffered casualties. The United States tried to help Somalia get through famine and ended up fighting in their revolutionary war. Intelligence needs to be collected by more reliable sources, due to the six houses that did not have Mohammed Farah Aidid. The proper equipment is needed in order to complete the job efficiently and effectively. Communication needs to be better so that movement and orders are heard and coordinated.
Too much influence of America in the internal and external affairs of other countries has created a bad reputation of nation. America is now called a threat and not an ally. The interference of the UN in South Vietnam and to help them in a war against North Vietnam aggression has resulted in nothing. It is not because the deficiency of powers but because of the unreliable attitude of America. The super power wants to create stability in small and undeveloped Asian nations but do they have the time to think about the ways they are incorporating to set up their aim.
This is present in all aspects of economics that the government is involved in. There is little that could be done about it because people would always try to take advantage of such things but if there is a need to decrease such an action there will be a need for more strict screening systems and continuing assessment of the individuals within the system. Others because of the cost, even though it is not as great as other healthcare costs, would suggest decreasing or even demolishing the system. This is due to the believe that the system is inefficient and the money would be best used elsewhere. It is also believe that Medicare and Medicaid are always interconnected and thus demolishing one would require the demolishment of the
If higher education were mandatory as part of receiving benefits, these perpetual cycles can be broken. Welfare reform will not be easy, quick or painless. However, the basis for welfare reform should be to return it to where it started – as a temporary support system during hard times. The current system is too costly, overwrought with fraud, and perpetuates a cycle of dependency. A better, fairer system of assistance and support to a better way of life is possible within the principles of what America was built upon; it just will take a lot of hard work to get it
As for whether slashing military spending would deny us needed protection, one could as well ask whether we are safe today with policies that risk "blowback”, bankruptcy, and monetary disarray. All through the debate over health-care reform last year, I cast a somewhat jaundiced eye on those critics who said the United States could not afford it, because frequently those critics also seemed to be supporters of the Iraq war. Their thrift seemed to stop at the war’s edge. They said we could not afford health care, when we plainly could afford it, given our outlandish spending on a war of choice, to say nothing of a Wall Street bailout. $700 billion for the war.
Vietnam War Prior to Vietnam, the American populous held their Schools, Congressman, and official institutions in a high regard. Some Americans felt that even though the intentions of the Government were good when entering the conflict, it was a battle that could never be won and there was too great of a burden on the country economically and social to continue the war. Others felt that the United States was in Vietnam for a purpose and should stay until their task was accomplished. It’s hard to determine the long-term effects of Vietnam to the American public. Although many students were moved by the war, it also caused great changes to politics in the United States.
The major message of the video was that if you are well off, and have a lot of money you would outlive those who are less likely to have accumulated a lot of wealth. Also I think they wanted to point out how impossible it is to move up the ladder of wealth in America because the gap is so huge, and it should not be that way. And what we should aim to do is fix that, and have a better system, because right now it is very unfair in a supposedly fair country. Also the other main point is that we do not have universal health care, while other developed countries do, and it showed that if you have a high level of education and wealth combined you will be healthy and live longer than those who do not. Like I said social economic status has everything
I think it would be pretty awful. If you think how many countries want to harm us but they didn’t because our veterans didn’t let them. They need all the appreciation they can get because they don’t get a lot of money for what they did, I think they should but they don’t. They did so much for us. They come out all bruised, broken bones, and even cut off body parts.
