All people in the hotel were getting out at this point, and the manager told the guests that probably was a volcano eruption. We were staying around the trailer and filming the whole event until a big explosion wiped out and the debris seems more serious. That was about 30 minutes after the first earthquake. Our team leader decided to go to the communication center and see if we can help or get help there as all the residents were tiding up and going to the center now. We were terrified but still shooting this great footage until the equipment team told us they used the wet towel stuffed the around the parts of the engine that would intake air when they started.
He then deployed the Dr. Device on the bugger's home planet, which caused a chain reaction which destroyed the planet and all the bugger ships around the planet. Everybody started cheering, and Ender was told then that the game was actually real life. He was very distraught because he knew that he had killed many buggers on many planets and had let some humans die at the same time. Ender was so distraught that he slept for almost two
Cambodian Genocide It all started with a lie. One simple little killed almost two million people. Khmer Rouge soldiers told Cambodian citizens to evacuate their house at once and to flee to the countryside. The Khmer Rouge soldiers told the citizens that American B-52 fighter planes were coming to bomb them. The citizens of course listened and when some turned around to retrieve something they forgot or refused to go they were shot.
The teenagers started shooting at them with the machinegun they counted the soldiers coming out of each. Landing craft there was around 30 troops in each they had to blow up the tank traps (dragons teeth) so the allied tanks could get on the beach. “We have to stop them!” the soldier said “we can’t let them get their tanks on the beach or we’re screwed!” another landing craft was coming towards the beach when it was hit by artillery and exploded. “The MGs out of ammo” the gunner said “go get more from the other bunkers” as soon as the one soldier got out he was shot and killed by a sniper “damn it” the gunner said “we’re going to just have to use our rifles!” just then another larger landing craft drove onto the beach and dropped the ramp and a tank rolled onto the beach and fired at the bunker beside them it hit inside and exploded into flames and the soldiers inside fell out on fire an anti-tank gun fired and destroyed the tank. Then the soldiers heard distant sounds of the allied ships then the commanding officer saw the soldier’s pillbox explode along with other pillboxes.
I have to act in the person’s best interest but instead of encouraging them to avoid risks I have to support them and enable them to taking part in activities. I have to act in the individuals best interest, keep them safe, carry out risk assessments, promote informed choices but also respect their decision and right to live their life as they choose. If the risk seems great to me I would document it and discuss the matter with my manager. Another area where duty of care dilemmas may arise are confidentiality issues. When a confidential information is shared with me and it concerns safeguarding and there is a possibility of harm or someone’s wellbeing is threathened I might have to make a decision and disclose this information.
It then traveled through the D ring and into the C ring. CNN has some good footage from a security camera that captured the plane striking the ground. All 58 passengers, four flight attendants, and both pilots on board, as well as 125 occupants of the Pentagon, died. Although the blast from the plane and the toxic gas and heat from the resulting fire killed some people in their offices near the crash site, some people working inside the Pentagon that morning did not know that a plane had hit their building. Military and civilian personnel running up and down the corridors yelling for people to get out helped to save a lot of lives.
On December 7, 1941, the Empire of Japan ordered the Japanese Air Force to launch and engage the American sailors and civilians during a surprise air raid at Naval Base, Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. With the heavy assault lasting at most a little more than two hours the damage and casualty count seemed devastating. More than 2,400 Americans were killed during the onslaught, at least twenty-one ships had either been sunk or damaged due to the missile explosions and strafing enemy gunfire; more than 188 U.S. aircraft destroyed as well at the nearby airfield. The attack on Pearl Harbor outraged nearly the entire American nation to the point where that the U.S. unwittingly abandoned its own policy of isolationism and declared war on Japan the following day -- this instance here officially brought the United States into World War II.
Fist off, the Germans had warned them weeks maybe even months back, that if any ships consulting or flying the British flag will be torpedoed after all passengers are off the ship; and this was published in the NEW YORK TIMES and all newspapers throughout the country. Also the captain of the “merchant” ship which was really a war ship knew
9/11 Attacks On the Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001 we faced a devastating attack from Al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden was the leader during the time and many years afterwards. He was believed to be the leader of the Al Qaeda network and would be hunted down for ten years after these events. Just weeks before the dreadful day of 9/11 a group of Islamic Terrorists came in to the country looking like normal U.S. citizens. They took the first 2 weeks to learn how to fly air planes so they could high jack them and carry out their mission.
Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Hawaii, was attacked by Japanese torpedo and bomber planes on December 7, 1941, at 7:55 a.m. Hawaii time. The sneak attack sparked serious outrage in the American people, government and the world. On December 8, President Franklin D. Roosevelt addressed the American Congress and the nation to tell everyone about the attack. When talking, the president asked Congress to pass a declaration of war. Congress said yes, voted and passed the U.S.
