In the Pursuit of Perfect by Tal Ben-Shahar, he sheds some light into the possibility of obtaining a happy life even with the struggles and challenges that may come our way. It is how we tackle these obstacles and avoid being a perfectionist and adopting an Optimalistic approach. Tal Ben-Shahar provides a step-by-step process to conquer the fear of failure and by taking these tools we learn and apply them to our love life and our lives in general. Failure is a word that most of us don’t want to hear or even experience. We do everything we can to steer away from failing by putting a ton of pressure on ourselves, creating intense anxiety and ultimately being unhappy.
It's not my intention to go about changing anyone's life but to live my life to best of my ability and fulfill myself and in that process those I come in contact with will hopefully benefit from something I do or say to them out of love and compassion for my friends and family. My voice should be heard when I see injustice, when I can improve something, when I have an idea, when I need to express myself, or when I can speak for the voiceless. Because everyone has equal dignity and worth, everyone’s ideas are equally true. False, some people have incorrect ideas. They have the right to believe what they want, but that doesn’t mean that their ideas are correct.
It is true that it is the easy way but we have to change it. Furthermore, he talks about the lack of freedom and equality. However, he says that the answer is among us. So, as a conclusion, the relation between those songs is that both make reference to the problems of the society like the discrimination and the lack of justice and freedom. And in my opinion, the message of those songs is that we have to learn to see the world with other eyes and always try to help to the neighbor.
She is trying to explain to her son some months after leaving her husband and Christopher that she is not a very good mother. She says that she is not a ‘pacient person’ like Christopher’s father. This letter reveals that her writing style is somewhat like Christopher’s, in that she often writes in long yet simplistic sentences. Unlike Christopher though, she is capable of describing her emotions. She recognises that she got angry and upset because she was unable to handle Christopher’s behaviour when they went shopping at Christmas.
Taking control of my choices and not being a victim of the change life is going to throw at me is another role that is important on my way to success. If l let life get me off course I am going to have a hard time getting focused and getting back on track so it is best for me and others to avoid it before it happens. Also having a good self-image will help me understand my self even more. If I know what is going on inside the world and out, it will help me to stay on course and on a good road to success. Another thing would be to know how to understand my tolerance for risk and how to push past barriers and other obstacles that will be in my path to success.
3.Put first things first This habit puts things in perspective it takes the focus from the final goal to each and every step on the way to reaching it. As the final goal cannot be reached immediately this is an important habit as it reminds us to focus on all the small details that make up the bigger picture. 4. Think win-win When cooperating with other people the best scenario possible is always a win-win situation as everyone included in the project is happy and a happy coworker is a productive coworker. Therefore everyone in the group should be valued and their opinion on things should be respected to reach the best result.
In the first stanza he shows his readers the ideal way to act during times of acute crisis. The poet asks his readers to make themselves strong enough such that they can take responsibility for their actions and choices bravely and not indulge in blame-games. A person should muster enough confidence to believe in himself and his potential when everyone else gives up on him; but at the same time the poet also advises his readers to make enough room in their heads for opposing ideas from others. This poem teaches a person the importance of waiting and advices him to not let lies and hatred mire his character even if the ones around him seem to be infested with them. Kipling knew that instilling these virtues might make his readers self-righteous so he warns them against the same towards the end of the stanza.
The patient must understand that is the key to becoming a fully functional human being. It is imperative to seek happiness from within versus being overly concerned about the opinions of others. To reach one’s inherent potentialities, one cannot live in fear or according to preconceived plans or ideas of others. He or she has to be his/ her own person, expressing his/her own ideas, and doing what he/she wants to without conforming to the standards and belief of others. Ultimately, one must realize his/her uniqueness, build self-confidence, and not be afraid to go against the grain.
True love is a very controversial topic, however, /everyone whether they will admit it or not/ secretly craves it. The inexplicable feeling of passion, and desire that fuels ones happiness is what I consider love. It is a subject that everyone seems to want to know about and experience. True love is the greatest gift you can give to someone. True love is unconditional and has no limitations.
The "real you" is a magnificent, unique being with enormous potential and capacity for experiencing love of yourself and extending love to others. As your self-esteem grows, this "real you" emerges. You begin to take more risks and not be afraid of failure; you are not as concerned with getting approval of others; your relationships are much more rewarding; you pursue activities that bring you joy and satisfaction; and you will make a positive contribution to the world. Most importantly, high self-esteem brings you peace of mind. When you are alone, you truly appreciate the person you're with-yourself.
