------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- The Three Most Important Things I Learned As a Freshmen I learned many exciting things as freshmen. Even though I had my ups and downs, it was still a fun year for me. I’m a new student at Del Mar. I spent my freshmen year in Lincoln High School. One of the most important things I learned last year was how to organize my time to be able to do all my homework. This was very important to me throughout my first year in high school. Another key thing I learned is the importance of joining a club or multiple ones. It looks very good in a college transcript. Finally, another important thing I learned was that all my work needs to be turned in on time. I really don’t want to get backed up on school work. To begin, my fist year as freshmen in high school was a challenge during my first week or two. I was having trouble finding time to do my homework because every Tuesday and Thursday’s I had practice from 5 pm to 7 pm. At Lincoln, we had advisory every Tuesday and Thursday, which was very convenient for me. Here’s what I did, on those two days I did as much homework as I could in advisory. That helped me a lot because I only had about an hour or two of homework after school. After I started doing that, my time schedule started working in my favor and I was extremely proud of that. Secondly, I learned that it’s very important to join a club or maybe multiple ones. Joining a club has a lot of advantages in high school. You can meet new people that like the same things you do. You can experience and try new things. Another thing is that joining a club will keep you busy. This can help you stay out of trouble after school or even during school.
