Be Proactive This is the ability to control your environment, rather than have it control you, as is so often the case. the ability to have Self determination, choice, and the power to decide response to stimulus, conditions and circumstances is all what you need to control your life. To reach this habit you should take responsibility of your choices and don't blame anyone or any condition about the wrong. It does not mean being pushy, obnoxious, or aggressive. It does mean recognizing our responsibility to make things happen. 2. Begin with the End in Mind "(This habit)...is based on imagination -- the ability to envision, to see the potential, to create with our minds what we cannot at present see with our eyes..." we can call this habit "the personal leadership". leading yourself towards what you consider your aims. By developing the habit of concentrating on relevant activities you will build a platform to avoid distractions and become more productive and successful 3. Put First Things First We can call this habit "personal management", it is about organizing and implementing activities in line with the aims established in habit 2. We can consider habit 2 is the first, or "mental creation"; habit 3 is the second, or "physical creation". In other words:"Create a clear, mutual understanding of what needs to be accomplished, focusing on what, not how; results not methods. Spend time. Be patient. Visualize the desired result." 4. Think Win-Win We can call this habit "interpersonal leadership". It is necessary because achievements are largely dependent on co-operative efforts with others, win-win is based on the assumption that there is plenty for everyone, and that success follows a co-operative approach more naturally than the confrontation of win-or-lose.
