Figure 2 shows how developing countries such as Ghana and Colombia pay a lot more for their water meaning that a larger proportion of their income is spent on what is seen as the most basic resource. This can mean that for the poorer population water is sometimes unaffordable which puts their health at risk as they may seek water from contaminated sources; diseases like cholera are more likely to spread due to lack of clean water and due to lack of hygiene. Often in countries such as Ghana, the poorer population do not have access to running water in their homes and therefore have to walk long distances to collect water; this also highlights a poor quality of life. Due to high water costs, countries such as these are unable to use water for luxury purposes e.g. dishwashers and therefore water wastage is less likely.
There are numerous contributing factors that make this even harder on the population of Mohave County to survive. The need is evident with the growing rate of people only surviving because of benefits like food stamps and unemployment checks that things need to change. This is even more of an issue right now with the government shutting down and putting a stop to programs like WIC and possibly food stamps. The need is for there to be more available positions. The reasons this occurs is due to numerous factors like the number of companies going out of business, lack of job growth, future plans for job growth does not meet the need, founding father’s not allowing large business to come to town, education level of community, sales tax is high, and average household income is low.
However, conservatives argue that this is fair, as those who shoulder mores responsibility in society should be repaid more in terms of wealth than someone with less responsibility. This arguably means that it will lead to a fairer society. An 'organic society' could reduce atomism. This is because an 'organic society' sees society as a whole, living entity as opposed to being made up of self-seeking and self-striving individuals. This could lead to society being more cooperative, as people comprehend that everyone is of equal value to society, regardless of the role they fulfil.

Many people live with sickness and illnesses today, because they can’t afford medical bills. Many families struggle with this challenging decision daily, on whether to provide food for their family, or pay for medications. It would also allow poor people to be healthy enough to get jobs, and to maintain them. Healthcare is pushed aside when families are not getting basic needs, like shelter, food or clothes; they die quicker because of lack of treatment. Free healthcare would preserve many lives.
Good morning. As each week is faced, it becomes increasingly more difficult to walk outside and see the myriad of problems that lye before our great nation. Quality jobs are continuing to diminish; family income is not keeping up to inflation. The American job loss now approaches levels not seen since the Great Depression of the 1930’s and exceeds that found during September 11th 2001. Consequently, there is less money flowing into our economy causing it to slow.
Poverty has increased due to a high unemployment rate, lower wages for many people, and a decreasing amount of public assistance benefits. Since the start of the recession, many people have lost their jobs and have been unable to find new employment or have been forced to work for wages far lower than they had previously been paid. In 1996, the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) program, which provided cash assistance to poor families with children, was replaced with a grant program called Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). This program has not been able to keep up with inflation causing a higher poverty level among the already poor which has resulted in families not being able to afford housing (“Why are People Homeless,”
