It is because of these feelings that he is strongly cemented in his vote of guilty.Juror #3 is guilty of hasty generalization, because he does not really think about the facts given, he is thinking about an incident that he has gone through with his teenage son. He spat on Shylock (a Jew) just because he is Jewish. He doesn’t like him because of his beliefs and that makes him very prejudice. Just because Shylock does not believe in the same thing as Antonio, it does not give him the right to be rude and judge Shylock. Antonio also said, “Content in faith. I’ll seal to such a bond, And say that there is much kindness in a Jew.” (I, iii, 150-151).
The author’s diction shows the tones of negligence and physical vituperation because he wants to show the son being beaten. Roethke’s father’s abuse of “whiskey” leads to his own “romping” with his “battered” hands. Alcohol plays a large factor into Roethke’s unnecessary beating, also the father has rough hands leading to the connotation of abuse because of the rough tone of battered hands, which very accurately sums up his personality as a person. Roethke also talks about the roughhousing done, which he thinks is playful with his father is actually very spiteful towards himself. Roethke says he and his father were, “waltzing” and that every step his father missed, because of his father’s alcohol problem he “scraped” his ear on his father’s belt, but this so called dance Roethke speaks of is a metaphor, for his father is really beating him with fists “caked” with sediment.

Then he met a Jewish accountant by the name of Itzhak Stern. Schindler through his relationship with the accountant had begun to see the Jewish people with different eyes. Have you ever wondered what being a Jewish person is like? In the novel “Boy in the Striped Pajamas,” a Jewish boy is separated and discriminated from the rest of the world. Because this boy is of Jewish background, he is constantly beat and looked down upon as being inhuman. Also, the Education within Germany was deeply fraud because German children were taught lies to change their views and perspectives against the Jews. The movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, addresses the ethical issue of whether or not right and wrong truly exists in an absolute manner or is everything a matter of personal opinion. The director intended to portray what the Nazis did to the Jews as wrong in the movie. There are several instances that show the exploitation and abuse of Jews, no matter the age or gender, by the Nazis. A prominent example of this would be the first man Bruno sees wearing the “striped pajamas”, Pavel. At first, Bruno witnesses the cruelty that Lieutenant Kotler shows toward Pavel when Bruno asked for a tire swing.
This quote shows how he is willing to pay any amount to save the lives of the Jew’s. Schindler’s character is contrasted with the character Amon Goeth, the commandant of the labour camp. The contrast between the two emphasizes to the audience how admirable Schindler becomes. Both men reach positions of power because of the war and have many lives at their finger tips. Goeth, after a night of drinking, eating and partying, gets out of his bed and with a smoke in his mouth, shoots Jew’s in the camp below who are simply going about the chores.

Raskolnikov isolates himself from society, for he thinks of others as inferior and comes up with his personal philosophy.
It becomes clear that everyone is afraid of somehow getting AIDS from swimming in the same pool that Sally's brother used to swim in. As she believes, "One drop of water in your mouth or an open sore and we'll be infected with my brother and his black lover and God knows who else was in here." Sam's sister, Chloe, and her husband, John, share the apprehension, though John has cancer of the esophagus and is not particularly worried about AIDS. In fact he intentionally sticks his head in the pool and gets a mouthful of water which he spits at the others. The play reveals both marriages in trouble and many examples of superficial values and prejudices.
