Another topic that will be discussed is how our government’s multiculturalism policy has revolutionized the idea of human rights thus ameliorating the quality of life in Canada. Multiculturalism is undoubtedly a fundamental characteristic of Canadian heritage. The multiculturalism policy aims to preserve this identity, a particular section in the document states that the Government of Canada is to foster the recognition and appreciation of the diverse cultures of

Is it the force for people to be successful and live life to its fullest? “Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others.
Conclusion: Why does cancer rate increase in Canada? Believing that cancer rate increases in Canada, our hypothesis states that the cancer rate increases due to the increase of smoking rate in Canada and also the improper diet of Canadians as their ages grow. As stated in the third relationship, smoking rate in Canada is increasing especially at the city areas. That is also why the city areas like Ontario and Quebec have a higher rate of lung cancer. Moreover, lung cancer is one of the cancer types which have the highest rate in Canada.
I’ll be talking about economy during 1945-1950. Economically, the effects of the ‘dirty thirties’ had been overcome through wartime production and centralized government control of the economy. Nevertheless, it was initially unclear to what extent the provincial governments would allow the federal government to retain many of these powers in peacetime. Financial prosperity helped create and was sustained by a major upsurge in the Canadian population. Canadian soldiers arrived home with 43,000 war brides and 21,000 children, and this signaled the start of the ‘baby boom,’ which would be at its most prolific in the decade after 1945.
The Rise In Health Care Spending And What To Do About It Abstract and Introduction Abstract Reforms for slowing the growth in health care spending and increasing the value of care have largely focused on insurance-based solutions. Consumer-driven health care represents the most recent example of this approach. However, much of the growth in health care spending over the past twenty years is linked to modifiable population risk factors such as obesity and stress. Rising disease prevalence and new medical treatments account for nearly two-thirds of the rise in spending. To be effective, reforms should focus on health promotion, public health interventions, and the cost-effective use of medical care.
Specifically, the home improvement industry has contracted by 1.2% in 2009. Companies have responded by increasing sales promotions and discounting in order to grow their share of the declining market. This has increased competition and deferred new entrants. However, as the economy recovers, the industry is expected to grow at a forecasted compounded annual growth rate of 3% until 2014. The Canadian general merchandise retailing industry is highly competitive.
In 2010 several hundred million people immigrated to the United States increasing the total U.S. population to approximately 340 million, and by the year 2050 it is estimated that with immigration this population will reach 397 million (Immigration To The United States, 2013). With this increase in immigration a concern for immigration restriction is increasingly becoming a more important aspect of the country’s public administration. There are various aspects surrounding the ethical issues of immigration. Some of these, and those issues that I will not touch upon, include the “definition and moral status of refugees, the circumstances (if any) in which it is permissible to use guest workers [and,] what obligations [the] country [might] incur [should] it actively [recruit] skilled workers from a poor state” (Wellman, 2010). For the purpose of this paper, my research is aimed at the ethics of immigration restriction.
HRSA projects that, absent aggressive intervention, in the year 2020 the shortage will grow to more than 1 million RNs-representing a shortage of 36% (2). The “Baby boomers” are also aging and entering retirement. This has placed additional demand for the services of Nurses. Demands for Nurses is high and is expected to increase as more of the population gains access to healthcare reform. According to the American College of Nurses, “the nursing shortage is very real and very different from any experienced in the past and will grow more serious over the next 20 years” (3).
In the understanding of success, people focus on personality traits, intelligence, innate ability, and hard work. After I read the book “outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell, I realized that to become a successful person is not that simple; in fact, the result of succeed involves with many outliers. The book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell inspired me of how people became succeed with any of the outliers. According to the first two chapters of the book, the “Matthew Effect” and “The 10,000 Hour Rule”, Gladwell discusses how hockey players become professional in Canada based on their birth month. Those hockey players who are born in the earlier part of the year will have a huge advantage in physical maturity comparing to others.
