When I am given a project or a paper, I always strive to get it done as soon as I can but still get the best grade on it. I believe that the fact that I was nominated to be a member of the National Honor Society shows my academic achievement in itself. It is difficult to narrow down the many instances where I have showed leadership but many can be found in my involvements in teamwork. I have been looked to as a leader and have taken responsibility for various group projects. I have discovered much about fairness, compromise, and responsible qualities that are required to be a "good" leader.
Why I Think I Should Be in the 2011 NJHS I believe I should be considered for Lake Pleasant’s National Junior Honors Society because I am a determined student, who loves to do her absolute best. In my essay I have provided several reasons why I think I should be in NJHS. My first reason for being accepted into the national juniors honor society is that I love to exceed in my schoolwork and I am ambitious. For example I have made Honor roll almost every quarter this year. This upcoming school year I plan to receive honor roll for all quarters and earn A’s in all of my classes.
One of my goals is to maintain good grades, which means I will be studying more often and putting even more effort into my school work next year. Another goal I have already set up is to maintain my new studying habits I have created this year. Next year I hope to accomplish my goal of keeping my GPA up and push myself further to succeed beyond my goals I have set up for my junior year and my senior year. Other than having goals about school, one of the things I look forward to in the future is meeting new people and making new
High-Q is a trivia competition where the teams are composed of the most intellectual students in their school. Since the start of high school, I have also been active with several other clubs like the Beta Club, Florida Public Service Association, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Overall, I believe that I qualify for your school, mainly because I have strong leadership skills. I love to be involved in activities, and I strive to be the best in everything I do. I make every effort that is possible to be a leader in each thing I participate in, as well as I know how to balance my academics with my extracurricular activities.
A LEADER FROM WITHIN Throughout my lifetime, I have learned that I am a natural-born leader. I willingly accept new challenges, conquer my goals, and strive to create a better community for myself, and those around me. From the time I began middle school, my leadership abilities became apparent. I enrolled in the Leadership class at the middle school where I thrived for two years. During my second year in the middle school leadership class, I enthusiastically served as the ASB president.
A list won't stop you from doing this but it will certainly limit it and set you in the right direction. Once you've compiled your list of items, you must determine when you are going to go to the store. Many people tend to stop after work or go on the weekends. However, another key to survival is actually going at
I believe RBHS will truly prosper with me as a member of ASB. I, _, am hoping to run for a position as an ASB member. Over the years, leadership opportunities such as ASB have always sparked my interest. Because of that, I decided to peruse many positions involving skills and
Being chosen as a candidate for membership of the N.H.S has caused me to reflect on my personal achievements. While my ongoing strive for academic excellence is a main priority, I also know to be a member of N.H.S you need to be a well-rounded student. My extracurricular activities, leadership qualities, involvement in the community, and my work ethic is compatible with the caliber of past and future leaders of National Honor Societies. If someone can excel in extracurricular activities as well as school, in my eyes, that is what it takes to succeed not only in school but life. I was a competitive gymnast from age three to thirteen, and then went right into making the Shelby Jr. High School 7th grade volleyball team.
National Honor Society As a Student, it is great honor to be nominated as a candidate for National Honor Society. It felt as though the weight of the world was lifted off of my shoulders. I believe that I have the motivation, the determination, and the personality for the group. Though my grades aren't always what I want, I will continue to do my best and work hard to improve in this area. I feel that being involved in this organization is equally important and will help me build a foundation for college.
Year round school is beneficial to teachers, students, and parents. To begin with, year round school works because it helps students retain more information. Retaining more information leads to better grades. In the traditional school system, students come back and teachers are forced to review the previous year’s material. This can take anywhere from a couple days to two or three weeks. Dr. Charles Ballinger is the executive director of the National Association for Year-Round School and was quoted in an article by Ann Svensen.
