Community Service Essay For my community service project I volunteered with helping dogs at the Peninsula Humane Society, in Burlingame. I felt great about volunteering with this group because, I learned many things throughout the process and it had a significant personal impact on me. I love animals, I was ecstatic about working at the Humane Society. I love animals and although they have shelter, they still need emotional and physical attention from people or other animals in order to live a happy life. The experience opened my eyes to the fact that shelter animals especially, need love and care.
Jody often goofed around before, but now would help his father plow the fields. He would wonder off occasionally, but now was able to help his father actually do the hunt instead of just carrying the powder horn. Jody helped his family in many ways now, taking on more responsibility that helped with their survival. Jody’s sense of responsibility helped him to deal with the fawn’s interference with his family’s survival. The fawn would bother the family while they were trying to work, so Jody would put the

Leadership is another trait that can’t be easily developed, but only with thorough diligence and dedication. Eureka College can help develop those that desire more in the field of leadership and service. Being a good leader means you have the interpersonal strength to deal with difficult issues. And Red Cross is always there for all the help they need. And those are what the Australian Red Crosses do as well as the international ones. But in overseas at Red Cross, they also volunteer with giving/building shelters for homeless, go and visit the sick people and help them heal, visit those in prison and bury the dead people. Conclusion Most of the time, people just think that “volunteering” is just giving away food to the poor people. Infect, it is more like sharing and giving not just food, it could be anything that could help the poverties and I think one of the most important facts is to give them all the happiness you could.
Mykel’s thinking has made a change because on the show he shows you how to use the resources you have to survive. He explains many things such as how to tell which plants you are able to eat, how to hunt for food, how to build a shelter, and most importantly, how to survive. He also shows you how you can use the things around you to help you survive. He and his wife go through this together and he teaches her how to survive as well as the people who watch the show. Seeing and learning how he survives wherever he’s located at really makes you realize how good of a critical thinker he is.
I like to keep myself busy and try new things. What I enjoy doing the most when I am out of school is volunteering. I volunteer in the soup kitchen in East Liberty. We cook and serve food to the homeless. We also deliver food to the senior citizens in their houses.

It has taught me the value needed in order to be success, including teaching me how to be patient and thankful. They taught me to set a goal and accomplish it, take on responsibility and the most importantly appreciate things that I have right now. It disenchant me that I am lucky enough to have what I have right now since there are many people out there who cannot enjoy the facility I got. Previously, to be honest, I always want more and more, better facilities and life, however after doing community services my eye was opened and my heart began to change and flutter.

It is considered as serving the society through one's own interests, personal skills or learning, which in return produces a feeling of self-worth and respect, instead of money. It is also intended to make contacts for possible employment or for a variety of other reasons. Volunteering takes many forms and can be performed by anyone with his or her own set of skills. Many volunteers are specifically trained in the areas they work in, such as medicine, education etc.
Despite being surprised at my result, I am reasonably confident the key criteria for work outlined in the Type Dynamics Indicator are accurate and relevant to my position in the graduate labour market. Career Choices I was surprised that the Prospects Career Planner listed Charity Officer and Charity Fundraiser as strong matches, as previously I had not considered a career in this area. Having reflected upon the results of my Type Dynamic Indicator, I believe it may be a career which suits my key skills and motivations. In addition, charity work would allow me the flexible working arrangements in which I feel I perform strongest. However, as a student of Biology I am keen to enter an occupation in which my studies would be beneficial.
