Please compose a one or two page essay about yourself that tells us how you will help the University to carry out its mission: To promote learning in the Jesuit Catholic tradition so that students acquire the knowledge, skills, values and sensitivities they need to succeed as persons, professionals and architects of a more humane and just world (for more information, please see: www.usfca.edu/mission As I was reading the mission for University of San Fransisco, I was reminded by the environment of my childhood during kindergarten. I remembered how my kindergarten teacher taught me about God and prayer. I grew up in a family where I would be the first generation to graduate college. To me, it is one of the most rewarding and satisfying things because I am able to make a difference in my community. It has taught me the value needed in order to be success, including teaching me how to be patient and thankful. They taught me to set a goal and accomplish it, take on responsibility and the most importantly appreciate things that I have right now. It disenchant me that I am lucky enough to have what I have right now since there are many people out there who cannot enjoy the facility I got. Previously, to be honest, I always want more and more, better facilities and life, however after doing community services my eye was opened and my heart began to change and flutter. Attending this university, I’ll make sure to carry out its mission, that is to promote learning in the Jesuit Catholic tradition. I want the students to learn what I had learned so far from my teachers and parents. I am also looking forward to share and exchange my knowledge with the others and so we can complete each other. I would like to make the students aware of religion and promote the Jesuit Catholic tradition I would share and in courage other people to do the same because one has a greater knowledge when you learn about your own
