Group interaction P6 - I took part in group interaction with three other people. The group members were Nora, Wintana and Faith. The scenario was that was that I was a nurse in a stroke unit, Nora and the rest of the group were also stroke patients. Nora would press her buzzer by her bed which means she was calling for a nurse. As a nurse it was my job to go and see what Nora’s question was and to answer it. While speaking to Nora, Faith and Wintana would get involved in the conversation by adding their enquires about their experiences with their stroke and what they can expect while recovering. M3 - One thing my group did well was taking turns when trying to communicate. This meant that everyone in our group would get a turn to talk and voice their concerns. This would be done in a systematic way. This is key as our group was predominately female there was no one interrupting each other as females are not often dominant when in conversation. This meaning that it will be difficult for them tells when a person is turn is finished due to the persons uttering and stammering. This can be improved by giving each person a certain amount of time to speak and to prompt them when the find it difficultly with coming up with the right words. A weakness of our group was proximity as there was hardly any real personal space between the people talking. This meant that it was bit personal or anyone that felt uncomfortable due to their being a lack of space. As the situation, was informal however we’re strangers to each other it was very usually to be in someone’s who a stranger is to you means you may be less likely to ask questions. It can be improved by making the space in between the bays larger or using the curtain to gain privacy if it is
