Jason Tierro, an inventory Jason Tierro, an inventory clerk at Lexmar Company, is responsible for taking a physical count of the goods on hand at the end of the year. He has been performing this duty for several years. This year, Jason was very busy due to a shortage of personnel at the company, so he decided to just estimate the amount of ending inventory instead of doing an accurate count. He reasoned that he could come very close to the true amount because of his past experience working with inventory. Besides, he was sure that the sophisticated computer program that Lexmar had just invested in kept an accurate record of inventory on hand.
It’s amazing how much I learn in the past two years at ASA College. It’s just so hard to believe that less than a week we will be done with my education. Making a difference in someone life just fascinates me, knowing that I have the power to help someone.

Managing, Learning & Liberal Arts My Personal Reflection on Managing, Learning & Liberal Arts Foundations of Management, BM 301 October 27, 2012 Abstract As I reflect on the past 5 weeks of this term and all the material presented on learning styles, management roles/functions and being liberally educated; I’ve discovered my learning styles, my strengths and weaknesses in management and a greater need to be liberally educated. It is imperative to my success that I continue to cultivate and expand my knowledge and skill level as I pursue my career and educational goals. The way I process information and connect with the world around me will have a tremendous impact on my level of success. I am determined to keep an open mind and embrace the knowledge and value of others as well as impart the things that I learn. I know that I have a responsibility not only to myself and family, but to the community around me to “Only Connect” (E.M. Forester).
My life has been changed since than. I learn the language, the culture, go to work 60 hours a week and go back to school. People asked me if I felt regret for my decision. I can not change the circumstance any more; I just want to use my time and energy to become a proactive person. Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind- Principles of personal leadership “To begin with the end in mind means to start with a clear understanding of your destination,” after reading the book, I have been developed a personal mission
I could have taken a year off from school if I wanted, but I took the challenge of gaining many new responsibilities, which help me grow as an adult each day. I have met many new people coming into this school more than I ever thought I would. My teachers are very diverse, and it is a lot of hard work adapting to different teaching habits. One person I can really say that has helped me through all these different obstacles would have to be my friend Maranda. Yes, we have known each other before attending college but this transitioning stage in life has really opened my eyes to my own reality.
Every day there are new goals to achieve in my life; every time one of them is accomplished I draw a new one to work towards. One of the first personal goals I worked toward and eventually reached was attaining my BA in Civil Engineering. It took five years to achieve this important goal. Not only did it take hard work and patience but there were also obstacles I had to go through. Because I did not have enough money to pay the tuition, I had to get a job in a call center after school.
Evaluating Interactions Symbolic Interaction theories concern themselves with the questions about how people develop “social selves” and how people make choices about interactions and manage interactions. Goffman and Hochschild’s contribute a great deal towards understanding the reasons for why human beings interact with one another in the ways they see fit. However, after keeping a journal for five days and making note of the interactions amongst my boss, best friend, professor, and I, it was easier to realize the point in which both theories were suggesting. The purpose of this paper is to examine my interaction amongst my three candidates and then make the connection with both Goffman and Hochschild’s work. Goffman is interested in the ways people in daily life present themselves and present their activities to those around them.
Car crash victims and knee and hip replacement patients were now part of my daily routine, As my time there grew I was invited to attend theatre a couple of times which boosted my skills and knowledge even more. I was actually asked to proceed with my nursing degree at this time but turned the opportunity down due to personal circumstances. Later in my carer I also completed roles with various agencies including one that specialised in people with mental health and dementia. I believe this experience has now given me the basics of clinical skills and will enable me to implement into my future career. At present I work closely with unemployed people with a variety of different needs.
