The first thing that YOU MUST DO IS CHOOSE a theme that exists within the novel and then what three aspects of the hero’s journey you will focus on to support this theme. Keep in mind that all three should not come from the first few chapter of the novel. Your 3 aspects of the hero’s journey should show an understanding of the novel as a whole and the progression of your hero and the theme. Everyone in the class can have different aspects of the hero’s journey that they focused on in their essay. You should have one trial they must overcome.

Tone and Mood in The Great Gatsby Unlike magicians, who never reveal the secrets behind their sleight of hand, writers leave their work behind to be examined long after they have left the stage. By studying the word choices that writers make, and by paying close attention to the placement of those words, we can learn the secrets behind literary magic and perhaps improve our own writings as well. In literary terms, the magic that writers create is call tone and mood. Tone is created by the words that the writer chooses; mood is the effect those words have on the reader. One of the masters of tone and mood was F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Essay Question 4- ‘Chavs’ in Popular Culture What is a Chav? Be warned, this essay is a load of old shite I concocted years ago in my first year of university. I'm uploading it to get access to the site. In the following essay I shall be discussing the key themes that are present in how chavs are portrayed in the media of today, why, and overall is it a fair or even logical set of beliefs. I shall do this through looking at their representation in three key media forms, the most important being newspapers, then to a lesser extent television and the internet.
My main bulk of research is from books and the books I used so far are: Being Good, Ethics, Torture in the Eighties, Report of Torture, Politics of Pain, History of Torture, Torture and Truth and War, Torture and Terrorism. I also used the Washington and Huffington Posts as well as the constitution. When researching for this paper I wrote down what I already knew about the subject before looking anything up. After looking at my own knowledge of the subject I make a draft of potential thesis statements. After I formed a rough draft my thesis I went to the library for book sources and online for web, newspaper and journal sources.
Private Detectives & Investigators By: Stephen Clayton II Composition I - 20 Instructor: Steven Sparks 5/1/2013 Summary I wrote about three different pieces of writing materials then I reviewed them all based upon my topic from weeks one and two which is all about my future career as a private detective/investigator. The following was included: the title and author of the work, the subject or topic being addressed, a discussion of whether structure guidelines are being followed, evidence that work is supported by research, and evidence that the work is supported by others. The first topic was how private investigators work this explains the difference between what we see on TV, movies, and read in books from the real deal and how it really goes. The next topic was straight up facts from May 2010 by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The last one was of a private detective agency in Arizona called VERITAS Associates, LLC it spoke about all the services they offer and the great success they have had.
