Explain their own philosophical approach to counselling Where I am in my training I feel that I have a good understanding of the person centred approach to counselling. At the moment I don’t feel I have a deep enough knowledge of the other theories to relate to them. Person centred approach appeals to me for a number of reasons; firstly I believe that each person has within them the ability to become the best possible version of them. I feel that this is an important part of the theory. “The actualising tendency refers to the tendency in all forms of organic life towards more complex organisation, the fulfilment of potential, and in human beings, the actualisation of the whole person including the persons self” (Merry 2002).

Guessing and controversy, allows to test the amount of information one knows about the topic, creating interest on the topic and opening possibilities for research. Controversy, finding an opposite point of view and try to argue it. This is possibly my favorite of these strategies, because by looking at other points of view pushes me to analyze that point of view and search for further information to prove my point right. Contradiction happens when an established points of view is faced to opposing facts and the need for more research takes place. I believe this strategies could be effective, because they allow a person to broaden their knowledge base all though

This sense of belonging is enhanced and reinforced when the team spends the time to develop team norms or relationship guidelines together. * Team members are viewed as unique people with irreplaceable experiences, points of view, knowledge, and opinions to contribute. After all, the purpose for forming a team is to take advantage of the differences. Otherwise, why would any organization approach projects, products, or goals with a team? Before we tackle on this longly debated predicament, we must understand that there are many different perspectives on the nature versus nurture topic. A biological psychologist might approach the problem focusing on genetic, hormonal, and neurochemical explanations of behavior, leaning more towards
In relation to self-leadership, curiosity requires more than showing interest, is also requires challenging yourself to expand upon it to further develop yourself (Kashdan, 2004). Curiosity allows “us to be more open-minded, flexible, and non-assuming,” three factors which also impact our overall well-being. I choose to lead myself with an open-mind, to look at situations and other people’s actions without any preconceptions. I am curious about the feelings, inner workings, and drivers behind every action, choice, and invention. There is a reason behind everything and every choice.
