ABSTRACT In the following project, our team will be researching the general program framework needed for a nonprofit organization. Our team includes James Buckner, Arthur Byrd, Dale Farris, Dale Farris and Brittny Moore. We will cover, within this framework, five specific areas that are critical to the success of an organization. We will discuss how "goals" fit into the nonprofit program framework. Additionally, we will incorporate the importance of “strategies” and "objectives" in the planning of a nonprofit organization. "Outcomes" will also be discussed in how they are important to any organization’s ability to evaluate their progress. It is well worth mentioning that all of these parts are necessary in an organization for that organization to function properly. In this research we will explain how that the organization can benefit from having all of these parts as well as having an organized organization by doing so. Last of all, we will discuss the importance of "ethics within an organization. We will discuss how a collaborative view of ethics, amongst leaders and staff, are needed in a nonprofit organization most of all because it can show that the specific nonprofit organization can be trusted. Goals Having established goals in a nonprofit organization is very important. Without goals then the direction of the nonprofit will be terribly hindered and it will not flourish in ways that it would if clear goals were explained and implemented. There are a few different reasons as to why goals are important. However, before exploring these reasons, the organization must have a clear mission statement (Wibur, 2000, p. 13). The mission statement is different from the goals in that it generally defines the policy direction of an organization. Goals specify how these general policies will be carried out.
