Armies were never triumphant without aggression. Lives are rarely saved by playing the part of ‘wheedler’. Competitions cannot be won without daunting your opponent. It is by pride and intimidation that great things transpire. The two are ends of the stick of success. You must lift them both to pick it up. Yet, success requires more than just pride and intimidation. Such must be tempered with hard work and devotion. Let the defeat in your enemies’ eyes be your drive. It practices, performs, and competes together. The band cannot function if there are too many chiefs. There must be a proper chief to Indian ratio. Sure, there are bands full of chiefs. They’re also the ones ranked last. We have the most talent, devotion, and drive. In fact, no other band stands a chance. That is, if we remain diehard and devoted. Don’t be the band that almost won. Don’t let it be said that we could’ve done better. Don’t be the band that hangs their head in defeat. Be remembered as the band that was proud in victory. Be remembered as they that wiped the floor with triumph. Don’t settle for second best. Try hard and die hard. Don’t be the bringer of bad news.
