The most prominent character quality of Ralph’s life was that he was generous; he loved to help build and help his family move along even when he was just 9 years old. He was also an eager learner and because of this he learned many useful talents such as how to ride a horse and how to shoot. (pg.222) he could also be very sneaky and deceitful at times as well (see pg. 154) but for most of this period in his life he was honest and felt bad when he did something wrong. Another good character trait was that he was extremely ambitious usually he would pick out tasks that carried a significant amount of weight sometimes even he could not complete them.
It helps me figure out what I need to do to become a better player, but also a better person. It tests my ability to work hard through adversity, take constructive criticism, and challenge myself to push harder and to strive for greatness. I take tremendous pride in my work ethic, and it shows when I’m on the field. I stay focused from start to finish, learn from my mistakes quickly, and I accept my responsibilities that are handed down to me from coaches and my team. Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.” This is how I treat everyday.
I began to love me and know that I am wonderful being who I am and most of all being real with myself. My experience has taught me that becoming an effective counselor; you will make some decisions that are good and not so good all in the desire to help others. I like finishing tasks after I start them because it helps me become more motivated. I can work well on my own and in a group. I like to speak my point of view a lot and I like to put forward my opinions and I think this is a good quality because it helps strengthen my beliefs. I have learnt with the “trial and error” philosophy. I have been promoted mostly because of my ambitious traits and acquired expertise. I am an action taker and promote changes all the time to make processes more efficient. I have always encouraged participation of my followers, but sometimes too much. I have required / expected for some individuals to over perform, even to the detriment of their personal goals.
To me, it is one of the most rewarding and satisfying things because I am able to make a difference in my community. It has taught me the value needed in order to be success, including teaching me how to be patient and thankful. They taught me to set a goal and accomplish it, take on responsibility and the most importantly appreciate things that I have right now. It disenchant me that I am lucky enough to have what I have right now since there are many people out there who cannot enjoy the facility I got. Previously, to be honest, I always want more and more, better facilities and life, however after doing community services my eye was opened and my heart began to change and flutter.
Many people have many skills, some people get famous for the skills that they have or how they use them. Other people have really good skills but never really get the chance to show other people their skills. The skills that you are born with and the skills you live in life will determined basically what happens in the future. The skill that I have and was basically was born with, was that I am an extremely good listener. If someone wants to talk about something I will listen and I will try and help them out.
