P1 Oxfam Oxfam is a charity organisation that works for no profit, Oxfam was founded in 1942 in Oxfordshire during World War 2 and they are an international charity which includes 17 organisations who work with them. Oxfam is a global organisation which work with approximately 98 countries one of the main reasons of this organisation to get started was because in between the World War 2 there was a lot of destruction so a committee got together and built a service which will provide for the people in need. Oxfam is an international business right now but it wasn’t always international, Oxfam was formed internationally in 1995 by a group of independent people it was a non-governmental organisation. We are currently seeking sponsors for our philanthropic event, The White Rose Pageant. This pageant’s purpose is to raise money and awareness for A Better Way, an organization in Muncie, Indiana dedicated to providing shelter and services for victims of domestic violence. With help from churches, community groups, corporations and many others, they are giving new hope to those in need. The funding sources would be financed by a revolving fund called “The Fund for Humanity.” Also comes from the new owners’ no-interest house payments. Under the trained supervision, individuals, corporations and groups, homeowners and volunteers build these homes. Also, with the help of Community Partnerships such as American Legion, African-American Baptist Mission Collaboration which is a partnership of five Baptist communities that represents more than 40,000 churches and more than 10 million Christians nationwide, and has grown into a strong partnership with Willow Creek Community Church that has a desire to help families in need. In addition, there are many Corporate Partnerships as well.
The society’s fight for a better world for people will all types of dementia takes a wide range of forms. The charity through their network of local services, they touch the lives of over 30,000 people every week, providing practical services and support for people with dementia and their careers. Alzheimer’s society staff and volunteers provide both local information and over 2,000 services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to people who affected by dementia in their communities. The local services include day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help their partners and families to cope with the demands of caring. The society provides reliable and up to date information to help you with every aspect of living with dementia.
Boys in carpentry classes made games for the sick soldiers or clothes hooks and magazine stands for naval hospitals. Girls in sewing class knitted and sewed items for soldiers. (redcross.org) The children of America made boxes of gifts for the children in Europe helping to promote international friendliness. The Red Cross was obviously the organization that helped us keep healthy and win the war. Although many people died, the Red Cross helped save more than anyone could think.

I was the class president during which I was in charge of fundraising for our class trip and setting up graduation. I was involved in many service-based organizations, these include Junior Ambassadors, Student Council and National Honor Society (NHS), and each group required that I met a certain amount of volunteer hours. Student Council revolved around volunteering at school events while Jr. Ambassadors and NHS revolved around volunteering for the community. Every year I was involved in Dream Makers where we bought toys for underprivileged kids during Christmas.

Narrative Essay-News Story An opportunity arises once in a lifetime to change an others life. This year that opportunity came for many. Bikers from the community in a bike for charity event raised $500,000 drove 175 miles and changed the lives of 420 chronically ill children. From the commitment, to getting the sponsors, raising the money and through the bike ride and reception, the trip was an amazing experience. A group of 100 bikers got together and in an effort to raise awareness and money for children with life threatening illnesses, took upon themselves to raise $2,500 each, having friends and relatives sponsor them for miles biked.
