My mother is the most inspiring person in my life. The reason why I chose my mother is because she is really all I have. She is my motivation, she has always been there for me and helps me live through all my struggles even during the most difficult times in my life I knew I could turn to her. I grew up with a mother and a father, but my mother was the one who pushed me to my true potential and kept me focused on doing better in school. Overall, my mother has molded me into a better student and young man.
My competitive nature has always been an asset on the field, court or whatever activity I was involved in. My parents have always taught me to be a team player and to give 110% of myself. This is the kind of athlete I have developed into. Having a supportive family and coaches have definitely had an impact on the player I have become. My family also played a role in my decision to become a business major.
The meaning of going to school for me is to study your interest and something you can see your self doing years from now. Knowledge is something that I have always wish to gain because it gives you power. I always like to stay committed to whatever I am doing. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” This quote by Vince Lombardi best describes my thoughts and experiences about leadership because hard work is how I became the leader and person I am today. Leaders are established by their actions, attitudes and decisions when working on goals or tasks. Everyone in a group looks to a positive, hard working person that is not afraid to take action and lead them in a direction that everyone believes is best. There is a fine line for leaders to get the consent of the team, but also keep the control of the group.
Making personal sacrifices for my children happen on a daily basis, but also remind me of the reason I became a parent in the first place. Keeping an open mind which has helped me to survive is important. To illustrate, times are different now opposed to when I was a child. I have to know where my children are coming from, so I can help them make hard decisions. In addition, I have had to organize my life around my children, so that I could always be there to help them with their homework, attend all of their extracurricular activities, or just have a willingness to listen.
