Ryan Borel Freshman Comp-Res, Anly & Documentation 2-27-2011 Professor Cameron Summary On the website NFL.com, an article was published discussing the argument between players and owners on whether or not the NFL regular season should be extended from the usual sixteen games to an even longer eighteen games. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has already proclaimed that the NFL reserves the right to do such as that is part of the current labor agreement that is set to expire in March. This has many NFL players concerned as the regular season games could lose their significance if it is increased from 16 games to 18 and as well as overall concern for their health. The length of an NFL season takes a tremendous toll on a player’s
Injuries cause extreme pain, limit movements and depending on the severity, can require a large amount of time for rehab. The majority of regular people will have a negative response to any kind of injury. In the case of the athlete (especially at the professional or collegiate level) injuries can be devastating. There is no universal model as to what mental response an athlete will have when an injury occurs, for the most part these emotions are negative (Brehm, 2008). Even when an athlete returns from an injury they can still be affected by it and play more tentatively on the field or court because of fear of re-injury (Brehm, 2008).
He did believe that the government should have the reins and be in control, but he always wanted the people of America with him every step of the way and to know what was going on. He never wanted them to not know what was going on and to never have to question what they were doing. In Document G, FDR says “The voice of great events is proclaiming to us. Reform if you would preserve.” Like stated earlier with Hoover, Conservatives are highly against change in government and want little to none to happen. Honestly though, sometimes it is the only way that you can improve.
But the problem is none of this will happen in congress, the representative’s will not budge on this and everyone knows that because they must protect their reelection funding. When it comes down to it this must be a movement started by the people, through petition or peaceful protest but the pressure must be put on to
The Effects of Felony Convictions RaShawnda Anderson Kaplan University The Effects of Felony Convictions The effects of felony convictions are a very hot topic in America. This is because there are many Americans that commit crimes and are punished yet still deal with the effects for years to come. Felons are a part of society and should be treated as such especially if they are reformed. A person can commit a crime that results in a felony and twenty years later still suffer the harsh reality of certain privileges being taken away. Yes, an individual should be punished for their crimes but the effects of a felony conviction should not include or affect that person’s right to vote, finding employment, or the pursuance of a higher education.
It helps teaches the NFL players to become a better person and to influence other people such as youngsters to not get involve with any critical situation. I think the statement is there because it also helps challenge their lives and minds to any kind of obstacles they are heading towards to. I believe that this statement is strong towards the NFL players because it shows them that they also have goals and mission to accomplish just like everybody else. Not just to become a better person, but someone who can also impact a lot of people’s lives as
“Many states have passed a Habitual violator law, which provide felony penalties for three Dui convictions. These offenders may lose many of their rights like being able to vote or own a weapon, as well as their drivers’ license permanently or for many, many years” These laws are not acceptable in my opinion and need to be changed especially being a repeat or habitual

2013) Police often blame the victim of police brutality when accused of being too brutal with their use of force. With this as a common issue, police departments across the United States have decided to fight against that statistic. Many times, when a police officer is accused of police brutality, they are immediately put on suspension. Within the terms of their suspension, either an outside agency or internal affairs department does an investigation determining what may have happened. This would typically include interviewing potential witnesses, determining what happened, and putting the pieces together.
In addi-tion, the defence must be so strong that the enemy would not even dare to contemplate an attack. This proactiveness is thus not on-ly in defence, but in offence as well. This is a principle that is well understood by any military commander. By being proactive, he is able not only to gain the initiative, but will also have ample time and opportunity to deal with the enemy. On the other hand, if he is placed on the defensive, he is unlikely to come up with effective strategies.
