Some of the training programs I administer are professional development plans for individuals wanting to be considered for a promotion, or recently promoted from within the organization. These individuals are usually highly motivated and eager to learn new skills and concepts that will help them to succeed at work. Most of the training programs I administer, though, are for employees who are required to attend continuous improvement workshops or policy and procedure training. This routine training is perceived by many to be a waste of their time, or uninteresting. I always outline the purpose of the session and how it applies to the attendees, but I frequently experience resistance in the form of poor participation.

Returning to school always has been something I knew I wanted to do but to obtain the courage to do it was something different. I knew that I always struggled with school and to continue on and go to college was nowhere in my current life goals. Having that degree could open so may doors in my life. Accepting that there would be obstacles and learning how to overcome them to be successful was a challenge all in itself.
Yes, I have had many obstacles that crossed my path but I want him to see that I didn’t just settle for less and that I am in charge of being able to accomplish my dreams and goals. I know that school will be difficult at times, but I am willing to put up with that constant struggle so I can have the feeling a self accomplishment when I am
Why I Returned to School ENG121 Susan Turner-Conlon 08/05/2013 Why I Returned to School For some people returning to school is easy, for others it is one of the most difficult things that they can do. For me returning to school was something that I had to do. The way the economy is right now, the only way to get a decent paying job is to further your education. The money was also a big one. Good paying salary is something that was important me.
I have a really hard time doing things because I have always been told I am not good enough and I can not do anything right. My definition of a master student is being able to use your skills to your advantage in life and to become a better person. Just doing the job without thoughts of failing. Master students become part of the job. They do not think about it.
While this statements sound so simplistic, it’s really being lost in the world of teaching. While trying to keep up with testing standards and needs of students, we as teachers must make sure that we are not creating ignorant thinkers. As teachers we must accept that we don’t have all the answers and that just like students, we are constantly learning. When Dr. Wayson was speaking, I couldn’t

Elliot once wrote “It is in fact a part of the function of education to help us escape, not from our own time -- for we are bound by that -- but from the intellectual and emotional limitations of our time” (Infinity Web Development, LLC, 2002-2010). The Americans should bring back the perception that “there is nothing we can’t be" stems from our ancestral heritage. Since the majority of the early settlers could not read or write, they worked hard to make sure the kids of the future all had a chance to learn. They believed they had a responsibility to improve themselves, to be the best they could be, to improve their abilities, and to help thy neighbors.
There are many ways I could serve other with my education, by doing my work for this country, by serving the ones that are less fortunate than I, and to teach the next generation of not just students, but also people that motivation and inspiration are the keys to success and that they should never give up. First, I'd try to do my work in this world by what I am taught in my classroom and applying it to the real world. I would use the morals that my teachers use in the classroom in a world that desperately needs my intelligence, and my sense of service. There is no justice in this world and I would use my education to try and apply it to where it needs to be like: in the world, in the courts, in the prisons, in the fields, in the study and in the classroom, at home and abroad. A second way I'd use my education to serve others is by serving the people that are less fortunate than I am.
If you know you’re most important values and your hierarchy, you'll know what the internal motivations that move you to take action to achieve your goals and what are the states that try to avoid at all costs. Your values are constantly conditioning your behavior, often without being aware of it. What is important in my power to be someone in life to meet my goals I have in mind. So that my parents are proud of me for what I’ve done make them proud and for them to see that I succeed and all thanks to them. Attending High School is challenging in a way where you don’t know who you are have bad influence’s and as well good and you know what is good and bad for you.
It spoke to me as a teacher. So often we have rules and policies imposed on us by administration, or even other teachers; departments, and senior teacher of the ways that they have always done things. I have felt as a younger teacher and a female, amongst male teachers, that I was too scared to challenge the ideas or be rejected of my new ideas. Your piece really gave me the confidence to be ok to stand up for what I believe in and it reassured me that I will always win when I follow my own ethics, even if I just do it silently, without protest. This holds lesson too for teachers.
