I can almost guarantee you that without awareness of this issue these numbers will continue to rise. So believe me when I say it can wait. Figure 2: This figure above also provided exceptional facts to the risks teens and young drivers are subject to when stepping behind the wheel of a motor vehicle with a cell phone. I don’t want to use these facts to scare people but to inform them that anything can happen to anyone and that no one is invincible. These small details may seem boring but if this paper can help change someone’s mind to stop using the phone while driving imagine how many lives alone one person can
Kristazsa Allong Colorado Technical University September 16, 2013 When looking into this scenario, there is so much that could have been wrong with the way the officers handled the situation. There of course is the natural instinct to want to protect everyone and to do your job, but remembering at the same time that people do have rights is something that cops tend to forget at times. (Reuters, 2013, p. 1) A lot of factors can come into play when looking at the law suit that was filed for having his civil rights violated. The factors on race, force of the officers, and lack of information could all end up with him winning the trail. The fact that they went after the gentleman solely on his race of what the lady believed looked to him
These systems are made to view things from every angle possible and notice that the individual made good faith efforts to follow the law, who knows what will happen. A lot of victims have been thrown under the bus due to not using their rights of Crime victims. Judges will care less to hear a plea, which states that a victim has a right to be heard. I personally think that no matter how late the victim trail start after time it was schedule to start they should be heard. The court system will overlook these things if you do not know your rights as a victim.
(Goldberg, 2012) But will that ensure that crime rates really would go down? It is pretty hard to believe that the criminals would just suddenly stop using guns just because the government would not allow them to. The truth is most of these criminals are smart, smart enough to not get caught, and with the gun control law the criminals would know that we civilians are less
The current P-plate laws are extremely affective in reducing accidents on the road. This is because they deal with many of the dangers p-plate drivers face while driving, including distractions, driving speed, peer pressure and driver safety. To begin with, the current p-plate laws are affective in reducing accidents while driving because they deal with the important issue of distractions. An example of a distraction that is dealt with by the current p-plate laws is mobile phones. Mobile phones cannot be used by p-plate drivers when driving or while the car is moving or stopped but not parked. This helps to stop accidents because it removes distractions from a p-plate driver so they can focus solely on driving.
I feel good about this new law that was passed to ticket those who disobey the speed limit. They deserve it because they should know how follow the rules that are set about certain areas that require a specific speed limit. I feel that those who don’t follow those speed limits shall be punished without a doubt. I feel that way simply because of the simple fact that the rules of the speeding are specifically stated. This event effects me in a variety of ways because it gives me one less thing to worry about when I’m around school or parking zones.
I understand that the three strikes law was put into place to keep big time offenders off of the street, but there are flaws in the system. A felony such as, may not warrant life in prison. I myself have a hard time justifying taking someone's life away for something so small. Although the line
Topic: The increase of gun control legislation decreases civilian safety. Guns are not for everyone. When dealing with guns, it is key to maintain the control on this lethal weapon. Improper use can lead to great consequences but proper gun control can reduce violence and the threat of crime within neighborhoods. Gun control is most worldwide debated topics today.
As health insurance would help US citizens and immigrant’s health, a driver’s license would increase safety on the street. As said in (http://idebate.org/debatabase/debates/society/house-would-give-illegal-immigrants-drivers-licenses) “Offering drivers licenses to illegal immigrants makes the streets safer by giving drivers training to people who would otherwise be driving on the streets without adequate education”. Many immigrants will drive with or without a license in order to get to their job, something that makes driving in the freeway dangerous for many citizens; something that can be stopped with an official driver’s
felonies. Misdemeanors and the kind of things even mostly law abiding citizens run into (parking tickets, speeding tickets, paying taxes late, jaywalking etc) wouldn't count. The reason here is that you want EVERYONE in the country to respect the law - and you don't want a large population in fear of even minor violations. But alas such a reform is far far too radical in today's political climate. (I do support the Startup Visa types of efforts - but I worry that they exclude far too many people - and that innovation comes from the most unexpected places - not just from folks with technology degrees or who have been vetted by venture capitalists) Collapse this post Why Not Let Immigrants Employ Americans?
