This article is very clear and straight forward, telling the readers that scientists have made a new discovery in heat resistant makeup. It explains that the make up can exceed 600 degrees Celsius (1,112 degrees Fahrenheit) although it only lasts about two seconds, which is long enough to burn the upper layers of a soldiers faces, hands or other exposed skin surfaces. In order to accomplish the making of the heat resistant make up, they had to consider the fact that it had to be easy to apply/ remove; waterproof; not irritate the eyes, nose or mouth.
