You’re listening to “Gangnam Morning” and this is Stacy Jason. Our second guest for today is American long distance open-water swimmer who has set records all over the world. She has even been named L.A.’s time woman of the year. And most importantly, she is the author of the book “Swimming to Antarctica”. Her strong determination inspired lots. And she is here with us today. Please welcome Lynne Cox. How are you doing Lynne? Lynne Cox: I’m fine, thank you. Stacy Jason: There’s something different about you today. Lynne Cox: I don’t know, what do you think? Stacy Jason: Did you get a haircut? No? Well, then it must be your outfit. Lynne Cox: (giggles) Thank you very much Stacy Jason: We are really honored to have you today. Lynne Cox: It’s my pleasure.. Stacy Jason: We have a couple of questions for you now. Can you talk to us first about the initiation of your career? Lynne Cox: Well, I began swimming as long as I could remember. When I was 9, I began my first swimming career in Manchester with my swim team. But at age 12, I moved to California, where I live right now. I then began training with the USA Olympic Swimming Coach. At age 15, I achieved one of my highest goals back then which was swimming across the English Channel. I even broke many of the men’s and women’s world records. So I had a pretty much successful start. Stacy Jason: Wow, that’s really interesting.
