There are multiple tracks to a nursing licensure, such as diploma, associates degree, and bachelor’s degree. Once these are accomplished there are many advancing education degrees or graduate degrees that are popping up everywhere. The push for further education is due to the thought that the ever growing population of aging people and the need for more care outside the acute care setting will cause a shortage of properly educated nurses.
